Six Southeast Prospects on the Rise at Peach Jam

These six prospects all entered the week outside the Top 10 in their respective state rankings, but each made a strong case for why they're deserving of a closer look going forward. Gamble has been excellent this summer, standing out with Wilson High School in June and now with [program_tooltip program_id='2413030' first='Middleton' last='Hoops Elite'] at Peach Jam. Josh is as close to a walking paint touch as we have in South Carolina, and it felt like that's exactly where he lived in MHE's two games on day two. His stats jump off the box score: 22 points, 5 assists, and 6 steals on 4-10 3FG, but he passed the eye test as an impactful, winning player as well. The shooting is obviously something that college coaches will be interested in, but Golden played extremely hard and seemed to be everywhere when he was on the floor. [program_tooltip program_id='2078446' first='Georgia' last='Stars']' 2028 group were the first team I checked out when I got to Peach Jam, and this guard stepped up as a two-way weapon off the bench for his team in a big opening-game win. In the first half, Goss earned minutes with his impact-fulness on the defensive end and willingness to make the extra pass on the offensive end, then he paid it off with 10 second-half points with efficient jump-shot making. His big frame and excellent athleticism jump out at you right away, so when you also factor in the motor that he played with, it was easy to love what he brought. In just 12 minutes, Robinson had his fingerprints all over the game, recording 5 blocks and 4 offensive rebounds. With all of the talented playmakers and scorers that their E16 squad has, Biar isn't asked to do much, but he is excellent in what he does. Listed at 6'10", Deng has the length to be an effective rim runner and rim protector, but he also has the desire to deflect passes in the paint, tie up loose balls, and help out his teammates when they get beat. AB Elite is a team that everyone is going to want to see this week because of their top-end talent, but guys like Groce help them click and win games. Aiden chipped in with 13 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting in a win over PG Elite on day one, displaying his ability as a knockdown perimeter weapon. Apart from shooting, Groce was also a plus with hustle plays and as an extra playmaker and ball-handler.
