About Tate
Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
Golden averaged 11.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game for the Georgia Stars this spring, showcasing a well rounded game and the versatility to impact winning in multiple ways. A highly skilled combo guard, he is effective both on and off the ball, allowing him to fit seamlessly into a variety of offensive systems. Golden possesses good strength and plays with a physical, tough minded approach that stands out on both ends of the floor. He can create his own offense, make plays for teammates, and serve as either a scorer or facilitator depending on what his team needs. An above average athlete, he contributes on the glass, rebounds well for his position, and consistently makes hustle plays.

Golden did a great job for Georgia Stars EYCL this past weekend with his ability to make shots off the catch in timely moments for his team. Golden does a really nice job relocating off the ball to find pockets in the defense, allowing him to generate a lot of high quality looks off of feeds from his teammates. Golden also has legit off the bounce game as he is comfortable operating out of ball screens, attacking closeouts, and pushing the ball in transition when the opportunity presents itself. Golden has helped this group win many games going back to last season and looks to be in line to have this group make a push in the EYCL. Tate’s ability as a shooter along with being able to make plays off the bounce while making winning plays at both ends of the floor make him a no brainer next level guy and someone that should garner more recruiting attention this spring/summer.
