Five 2028 Playmakers at the D1 Showcase (Bellevue College)

Here's a handful of talented 2028 guards from the NW June D1 Recruiting Event who stood out over the weekend. These guys not only stood out as leading scorers for their teams, but also because they had the right mix of facilitating and scoring, showcasing their ability to control games with their playmaking.    Rohrbacher has been playing some pretty high-level ball throughout the spring and summer. He's continued to light it up from 3-point range, while improving his footwork to get shots out quicker, but has also leveled up as a passer and processor. It showed not just at the D1 Event, but during the last six games with Seattle Select on the UAA Circuit where he averaged 4.2 APG. He ended up leading Bainbridge in scoring through every one of their games at the D1 Event, averaging 25.3 PPG.     Pond showed up in a big way for Kennedy at the event, leading them in scoring in three of their games (24 points vs Bothell, 16 points vs Chiawana, 13 points vs Edmonds-Woodway). His ability to create off the dribble and score from different levels was apparent during their run at the event, and he was a huge part in Kennedy finishing the weekend 4-0. Not only has he shown he can create his own shots, but he's also a kid who will initiate their offense and look to distribute the ball.     Shareef-Dulaney had it all working at the event, leading Lincoln to a 4-0 record while posting game-highs of 50, 43, and 29 points over the weekend. A lot of his work was done getting to the paint, and it starts with his ability to consistently get a step on his defender outside. He switches up tempo, has the threat of scoring going any direction, and used some great counters when defenders did get to his first move.     Lockhart was part of a talented Grant squad that has a lot of long, athletic finishers. Being surrounded by big-time finishers, Lockhart was locked in on distrubting the ball, dicing up defenses, and advancing it up the floor on possession changes. He was really making key passes from all over the floor, whether it was dissecting in the half court, making pinpoint passes on the go in transition, or kicking off his paint touches. Even with his passing standing out, he managed to lead them in scoring in three games over the weekend with 15 against Lake City, 16 against Mount Si, and 16 against Clackamas.     Pond looks ready to have a big impact at Kennedy this coming season, and showcased his ability to create with a smooth handle and hit some big shots. He was able to create separation on the perimeter, play with some toughness downhill and at the rim, and put it all together in their win over Royal, leading them with 27 points.
