Adidas Jr. 3SSB Nationals: 5th Grade Wing Standouts

Rock Hill, S.C. — After previously highlighting the top<a href="https://prephoops.com/2026/07/adidas-jr-3ssb-nationals-5th-grade-backcourt-standouts/"> backcourt </a>performers from the 11U Gold Division, we now turn our attention to the wings from the 2026 adidas Jr. 3SSB Boys National Championships.   The fifth-grade Gold Division featured 26 teams across seven pools and no shortage of talent on the perimeter. Wings played a major role throughout the tournament, impacting games with their versatility, athleticism, scoring ability, and willingness to contribute in multiple areas. Many were asked to take on significant responsibilities for their teams and consistently answered the call.   The five players featured below each brought a different skill set to the floor, but all separated themselves through their production, energy, and overall impact. Here are five fifth-grade wings who stood out in Rock Hill at the 2026 adidas Jr. 3SSB Boys National Championships...    Robert Burton II was the driving force behind much of BLUEprint Hoops' success at the Jr. 3SSB National Championships. The five-foot-nice wing filled the stat sheet in a variety of ways, leading the team in both scoring and rebounding. Burton found many ways to impact games, whether it was generating offense, tracking down rebounds, or providing timely production when his team needed it most. His all-around play was a major factor in BLUEprint Hoops advancing to the 11U Gold Division Championship Game and further reinforced the value he brings on both ends of the floor.     EK Byrd was another important piece of the puzzle for an All Covered Prospects team that continued to separate itself from the field at the Jr. 3SSB National Championships. With so much talent throughout the roster, it would be easy for certain players to get overlooked, but Byrd consistently found ways to make his presence known. He averaged 11.3 points per game while showing a well-rounded offensive skill set that allowed him to impact the game as both a scorer and facilitator. Byrd also brought value on the defensive end, where his anticipation and instincts regularly put him in position to disrupt passing lanes and create extra possessions. His two-way impact played a meaningful role in All Covered Prospects capturing the 11U Gold Division championship.     Sebastian Crawford has built positive momentum as one of the more notable names in the class of 2033 in the DMV, and his play for Washington Warriors Blue at the Jr. 3SSB National Championships only added to that growing reputation. Crawford's shooting ability immediately stood out, as he consistently stretched the floor and knocked down shots from the perimeter with confidence. He never hesitated when given space and routinely made defenses pay for losing track of him. His combination of shot-making and self-belief gave Washington Warriors Blue a reliable scoring threat and played a significant role in the team's run to the 11U Gold Division semifinals.     Cartier Edwards established himself as one of the more dangerous perimeter scorers at the Jr. 3SSB National Championships. Averaging 11.0 points per game, he provided a steady offensive spark and was capable of putting points on the board in a hurry. His jumper came off his hand cleanly, and he showed confidence shooting from the outside whenever opportunities presented themselves. Edwards was more than just a shooter, though. He regularly got by defenders with an explosive first step and did a good job attacking openings before defenses could react. On the other end, he was active and opportunistic, creating turnovers and quickly converting them into scoring chances in transition.     Fred Phillips was another wing who played an important role in All Covered Prospects capturing the 11U Gold Division title at the Jr. 3SSB National Championships. He brought an aggressive approach on the offensive end and showed the ability to score from multiple areas of the floor. Phillips consistently looked to make plays rather than blend into the background, and that mentality paid off throughout the tournament. Defensively, he flashed encouraging upside with his activity level, instincts, and willingness to compete. Combined with his overall feel for the game, Phillips showed why he remains an intriguing long-term prospect within a talented All Covered Prospects group.
