Additional Noteworthy Prospects Who Impressed At Ridgewood Live

The 2nd NCAA Live Event took place at Ridgewood High School this past weekend. The three day basketball showcase was packed full of prospects from around the state. In this final article of what I covered, PHI will take you through a deeper analysis into a handful more guys regardless of position or class that impressed from the event.    Kerrigan will take on paint duties for a deeply rounded out Dolphin squad this season. He adds size and athleticism to the interior. I had not seen Kerrigan play since our showcase last Fall and he has grown in height while continuing to add coordinated touch to his game. Offensively he showed a nice jumper from 15 feet and gathered an offensive rebound to go back up and score vs more height. His size will present challenges around the basket with athletic fluidity on both sides of the ball.     One of the few but true 5 men that we saw over the weekend. Zsamba possesses solid hands and footwork as an interior anchor. I was impressed with the way he sealed bodies on the low block to dig for location. In the early evening game on Saturday he scored it on an offensive rebound put back, cut down the lane off the ball for a retrieval and conversion, and caught it on the block for quick scores with drop steps and soft touch layins. Zsamba presents good verticality on the defensive end to tally clean blocks as well and operates with a smooth and balanced feel throughout.     Frakes impacts with rhythm from beyond the arc as a shooting threat while also affecting the game on the interior. The 6'6 SF will stretch the floor out with rangy shooting ability from 3 and make defenses step out. He moves with purpose off the ball creating space for himself and teammates in the ½ court setting. His passing feel excels as well in advancing the ball up court with smart pitch ahead passes or making an extra swing pass to keep the offense flowing. The forwards combination of team first decision making, skills, and size make him an efficient and valuable wing.     Sirbu presents a strong interior presence that deems to be one of the most well rounded post players in the state for the class of 2027. He consistently establishes himself for deep positioning and capitalizes off great footwork and efficient finishes. His arsenal includes a variety of moves including quick catch and drop steps, spin moves off defenders bodies both ways, and multiple jump stop finishes. His ability to play off 2 feet and show patience around the rim was one of the best I've seen through this Spring and Summer season. He will exploit mismatches and also generate second chance opportunities. Overall is going to challenge posts on both ends during his senior year because of his old school style approach.     A versatile small forward with a strong frame. Harris plays bigger than size on the interior. Showed comfort playing through the post by backing defenders down and finishing with strength. Utilized poised crab dribbles or 1 dribble drop steps to gain advantage. Creates deep positioning and also demonstrated positive footwork and touch around the hoop. An incoming Sophomore to track from LP.
