This rising Sophomore group is super talented but is already being hit with transfers and some attrition. The number one prospect remains [player_tooltip player_id='2851845' first='Mason' last='Grivna'] but the ranking behind him continues to shift around with each update. Several members of the class have earned their first D1 offers in recent months. With each update, several new names continue to rise. With almost 200 players ranked already, this 2029 class is shaping up to be the deepest we have ever ranked. Here's a look at the updated top 5 players in the Sophomore class.

Mason is a top 20 prospect in America by most national rankings sites and I think he's likely better than that. Pushing 7 feet tall already, Grivna has early offers from powerhouses like Louisville, Indiana and Kansas. With the ability to protect the rim and run the floor, Mason is going to be a top talent in America's 2029 class and could be a future pro, depending on his development.

Ty has been and continues to be one of my favorite prospects in this class thanks to his size and passing ability. Bryant has a high prospect ceiling and has a lot of tools. The wrinkle with Ty is that he is also a big time recruit on the baseball field and has impressed scouts on the diamond already. EKU has already offered Bryant and more are likely to come his way soon.

One of the most high upside prospects in this class, Queen is a talented downhill driver who is a creative finisher at the rim. Jeremiah is a quick twitch athlete with a ton of upside and the transfer from Seneca to Trinity should be interesting. His development on the defensive side of the ball should go up a notch at Trinity but his individual offensive numbers make take a hit with a squad that plays less in transition and more in the half court than what "Butta" is used to.

Mack is a downhill driver who can also create open looks for teammates when he's attacking off the bounce. Capable of finishing through traffic or knocking down an open 3, Tre has multiple early offers. The biggest being from LSU. With Mack starting to draw early attention from several D1 schools, he should have a target on his back as one of the best lead guards in Louisville.

Owens is another super athletic guard who excels at getting into the paint on the offensive end. Used to playing with another good guard in Elijah Neel, Alijah can play on or off the ball and excels as a creator as well as a finisher. A recent offer from Youngstown State joined an earlier offer from EKU and Alijah has some early momentum in his recruitment and will only improve over the next couple of seasons.
