The 2028 class in Kentucky is one of the deeper ones that we have seen since Prep Hoops Kentucky launched over a decade ago. There's size and athleticism at every position. There are big time shooters. There are nationally ranked players and nearly 20 players with D1 offers already. In this latest update, there has been a LOT of movement as some kids have started to make their move towards the top while others are starting to fall behind. Here's a breakdown of the top Point Guards in this update. This does not include any players who were already featured in our top ten articles.

Sears is one of the elite scorers in this class. Able to shoot from deep range or get paint touches, Austin has a diverse skill set and plays with a high level motor. His college level will ultimately depend on how well Sears can guard opposing point guards. For Montgomery County to compete for a 10th region title, Sears is going to have to be elite this season and carry a lot of the scoring burden for the Indians.

An overlooked guard in the loaded Louisville Junior class, Clay is capable of scoring or facilitating at a high level. With his size and improved athleticism, Baron has started playing above the rim when he gets into the paint. Clay is a really good shooter who is capable of guarding opposing points. Baron earned his first few D1 offers this summer and could see more coming his way as part of a Ballard team that will be in the mix to be the top team in Kentucky this season.

Cooper is a high level scorer who can really heat up in a hurry and carry a team offensively for small stretches. Stone is a very good athlete for his size and can get into the paint against about anyone. Cooper's biggest area for growth is on the defensive end. He tends to gamble a little on defense instead of trying to "sit down" and guard his man. Stone has already earned multiple scholarship offers and should see that continue over the next year.

Myles has been one of my favorite guard prospects in this class over the last couple of years and multiple colleges seem to agree. Already earning multiple D1 offers, Howard has shown the ability to score and defend at a high level. Myles has a well rounded skill set and usually plays really hard. If Myles and [player_tooltip player_id='2520123' first='Boogie' last='Cook'] both play at a high level this season, CAL could be in the mix to win the loaded 7th region.

Allen could be the biggest stock riser in the 13th region this offseason. While he has played his role alongside Reece Davidson the last two seasons, it will be up to Kaiden and fellow junior [player_tooltip player_id='2360963' first='Corey' last='Cunagin'] to keep North Laurel in the mix to win the 13th region that is absolutely loaded with talent. Allen is a shifty guard who can get into the paint quickly and is also a good shooter from range. As long as Kaiden doesn't have to try and carry the Jags offense by himself, he should be able to average several assists per game in addition to likely scoring 18+ points per game.
