2027 Point Guards with Presence

A pitbull on the defensive end of the floor, he uses a low center of gravity and strong frame to his advantage, keeping opposing ball-handlers away from their spots and out of the paint. He guards the length of the floor and has a second gear that few can match when attacking loose balls. The 6'1" lefty does a great job of playing at different speeds, knows how to create angles when playing out of ball screens, and is a crafty passer in the half-court. Beyond that, he's able to finish with touch over size in the paint and has deep range on his jumper. He's a high level shooter from behind the arc, both off the bounce and in catch and shoot situations, and shows the ability to make good reads as a handler in ball screen action. He keeps his eyes up the floor in transition and does a nice job of making the simple play while limiting his turnovers. He's a terrific perimeter shooter, knows how to get defenders off balance with his shot fake, and has enough athleticism to finish around the rim over size. He's got good positional size and plus length, which allow him to be a dynamic and disruptive perimeter defender. One of the better scorers at the position, he does a great job of changing speeds, leveraging his shooting as a driver, and making plays for others when he gets into the paint off the bounce. He does a nice job of creating space in isolations and is capable of making tough mid-range jumpers late in the clock.
