Under The Radar 4A CG's Worth Keeping An Eye On

Class 4A is loaded with talent, but not every impact player is getting the attention they deserve. This week we are spotlighting under the radar players who quietly delivered big performances for their teams last season. From scoring and playmaking to leadership and toughness, these rising names are primed for breakout campaigns and could become some of the biggest difference makers in 4A basketball.    Gallegos took a significant step forward during his junior season at Northridge, raising his scoring average from 5.0 points per game as a sophomore to 11.5 points per contest. He also contributed 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, showcasing growth in multiple areas of his game. A confident shooter with deep range, Gallegos has proven he can put points on the board in a hurry and is capable of reaching double figures on any given night. He is never shy about getting shots up, and that aggressiveness makes him a constant offensive threat. If he can improve his shooting efficiency and accuracy, he has the potential to take another major leap and become one of the more dangerous under the radar scorers in 4A     Lechuga enters his senior season with plenty of momentum after putting together a strong junior campaign for Skyview. He averaged 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while steadily growing into a bigger role throughout the season. His confidence and production took a noticeable jump late in the year, highlighted by a pair of 20 point performances and a standout game where he pulled down 9 rebounds. As the season progressed he looked more comfortable creating opportunities for himself and making plays for teammates. The experience and lessons gained from last year should pay dividends as he steps into a leadership role. Skyview will lean heavily on his scoring, playmaking and steady presence this coming season     Maes took a major leap forward as a junior, raising his scoring average by 13 points to 14.2 per game and establishing himself as one of Pueblo Centennial's top offensive weapons. A knockdown shooter with deep range, he consistently found his spots and made defenses pay from beyond the arc. His confidence and ability to stretch the floor were on full display throughout the season. As he enters his senior year the next step in his development will be continuing to expand his playmaking and creating more opportunities for teammates. If he can build on the vision and passing flashes he showed as a junior, Maes has the potential to be a true difference maker and one of the key pieces in Pueblo Centennial's success this season     Munoz has put together back to back strong varsity seasons at The Pinnacle and enters the year as the team's leader and most complete player. As a junior he averaged 14.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.2 steals per game while impacting winning on both ends of the floor. What makes him so effective is his ability to let the game come to him. He doesn't force shots or hunt difficult looks, instead taking what the defense gives him and making smart decisions with the basketball. That approach led to impressive shooting numbers, connecting on 54% from three point range and 45% overall. Munoz is the engine that makes the offense run, and his combination of scoring efficiency, playmaking and defensive activity makes him one of the most under the radar players heading into next season     Woolverton put together a strong junior season for Valley and saved some of his best basketball for the stretch run. He finished the year with seven consecutive double digit scoring performances, highlighted by a season high 30-point outing that showcased his offensive capabilities. Averaging 14.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3 assists per game, Wolverton proved to be a key piece for his team on a nightly basis. His development as a playmaker and facilitator stood out, as he consistently created opportunities for teammates while making smart decisions with the ball. As his all around game continues to expand, Woolverton's ability to impact the game in multiple ways makes him one of the more intriguing players to watch heading into his senior season at Valley
