Odie made his first appearance of the spring in front of us and immediately showed why he is such an important piece for Doherty's success this season. His growth as a player was evident throughout the weekend, as he confidently controlled the pace and embraced his role as the floor general and leader. Odie was able to score from all areas of the floor, putting together quick scoring bursts that shifted momentum and kept defenses on their heels. While his offensive production stood out, his impact on the defensive end was equally impressive. He played with energy and discipline, applying tight on ball pressure, communicating through switches and quickly rotating to shooters. His leadership, toughness and two way presence were on full display     Jegede could be the missing piece for a Cherokee Trail team that already thrives on spacing the floor and playing above the rim. He put that on full display with a 27 point performance, showing why he's one of the more intriguing offensive weapons in the class. His ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc is well known, but the biggest difference in his game this weekend was his added strength and willingness to battle inside. He attacked the paint with confidence, absorbed contact and consistently finished at or around the rim. His quick first step and improved physicality make him much harder to defend, giving Cherokee Trail another dynamic scoring option for this upcoming season     Weirath had a game that keeps elevating and he looks poised to be a major factor in Grand Junction's success once again this season. His combination of poise and physicality makes him a difficult matchup, as he consistently uses his strength to create space and get to his preferred spots on the floor. He showed a natural ability to score in a variety of ways, whether attacking the basket, finishing through contact or making big shots when the offense needed a spark. When the moment called for it he proved capable of taking over and carrying the scoring load. What stood out most is his relentless motor, as he competes with maximum effort on every possession and brings energy that impacts the game on both ends of the floor     Nelson continues to showcase one of the smoothest shooting strokes we've seen this spring. As the centerpiece of Timnath's attack, he consistently delivers when his team needs him most, combining leadership with a knack for making timely plays. His basketball IQ stood out every time he stepped on the floor, as he makes the right reads, keeps the offense organized and plays with poise under pressure. Nelson is at his best with the ball in his hands, creating opportunities for both himself and his teammates. His scoring arsenal was on full display this weekend, knocking down shots from deep, creating off the dribble, and finishing when opportunities presented themselves. He continues to prove why he's one of the top guards to watch     Long keeps impressing with his growth and the complete skill set he brings to the floor. His ability to stretch defenses with his shooting has always been a strength while also adding in his ability to be a consistent above the rim finisher takes his game to another level.
