An NCAA Live event was hosted by Ridgewood High School this past weekend in Norridge, IL. I had the chance to attend all three day's worth of action with plenty of college programs in attendance as well. In this article we will take a look at a handful of incoming junior point guards who showcased their talents.    It's always good to check up on the up-and-coming guard from Whitney Young in [player_tooltip player_id='3649457' first='Jaivyn' last='Richardson']. The first time I saw him play was last April in our circuit event and he shot the cover off the ball while having a quick twitch handle. He's continued to progress in still having plus quickness on both ends of the floor. What impressed me most about watching him on Sunday was his ability to guard and speed offense up to an uncomfortable level. I tallied him for coming away with 3 steals. He sees the floor well in transition to make pitch ahead passes immediately to guys in the open floor. He also had a couple smooth wrap around passes via baseline after making the defense slide over. I continue to like his attack mode and willingness to compete both ways.     This weekend was the first time seeing the incoming junior from Deerfield. Saw team compete in early morning game Sunday and he fills the primary handling role. Consumed a lot of zero gap full court pressure and did a nice job of still orchestrating positive offense. Yellen is able to breakdown defenders on a tight disciplined handle and get the ball where it needs to go. Showed some attacking ability to the cup and drew multiple fouls doing so. He also helps increase the team's IQ as a hole in providing smart decision making skills on both sides. Should see stock continue to rise.     Corro competes on both ends of the floor with a versatile and athletic feel from the point guard spot. He thrives on a high motor that works in transition and speeds up the game. His downhill aggressive mentality provides him the ability to make the right reads after drawing help. Shooting wise he has a confident catch and shoot jumper and will knockdown 3's at a high clip. His combination of handling ability and quickness makes him one of the most impactful floor generals in the state for the 2028 class.     The first time I saw Moore was at our showcase event last fall and he was thoroughly impressive then with his quickness and speed that he operates on. This weekend he provided reliability in those same departments with solid handles and pushing the ball in transition. In team's Saturday game he played against one of the lengthiest teams at the event and he still possessed that quick twitch passing and dribbling staples that he's well known for. He helped keep team in the game throughout and will continue to gain traction on the recruiting trail going into junior campaign.     Davidovic makes excellent reads while penetrating gaps and hitting tight angles. A smooth operator with true next level size at the point spot. He sees the floor throughout after drawing help for dishes or spray outs. Collected a multitude of assists in early evening game on Saturday. He also has a quick first step burst that he utilizes consistently in transition or ½ court setting. Also liked the way he crashed the glass at times utilizing burst and bounce from the guard spot. Plays in tandem with team's big front line and provides reliability in a variety of phases.
