Romeoville Pre-Live Event: Steve’s Thursday Standouts

Udoiwod scored in a variety of ways and buried multiple three-pointers while helping Geneva erase a double-digit deficit and secure a comeback victory. He showcased his full offensive arsenal as a true three-level scorer while also displaying excellent court vision when defenses collapsed on him. David consistently found teammates [player_tooltip player_id='2369872' first='Cody' last='Rader'] and younger brother [player_tooltip player_id='2369858' first='Jonny' last='Udoiwod'] for quality looks that ultimately swung the momentum in Geneva's favor. If he continues bringing this level of floor leadership and production, scholarship opportunities will certainly follow.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Peter Chojniak | Northridge Prep 2028</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's unusual to describe a 6-foot-11 post player as under the radar, especially one competing on a top shoe circuit, but Chojniak still feels somewhat overlooked. The fundamentally sound big man operates almost exclusively around the paint and excels at keeping things simple and efficient. He scores with jump hooks, reverse pivots, and strong positioning around the basket. Peter also showed good awareness as a passer when double teams arrived and consistently put himself in position to rebound. His coordination and strength prevent defenders from pushing him off his spots. He's a prospect we'll be eager to watch again during the next live period at Ridgewood.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2827104' first='Rayvon' last='Myles'] | Marshall 2027</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For the second consecutive day, Myles impressed on the floor. The 6-foot-2 guard is quickly becoming one of the more entertaining players to watch this summer. He's at his best in transition, where his agility, handle, and vision allow him to create opportunities for both himself and his teammates. Rayvon delivered several impressive assists off dribble penetration and added an exclamation point in the second half with a one-handed fast-break dunk. If he maintains this level of play throughout the summer, college coaches will begin paying close attention.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2349619' first='Brady' last='Harris'] | Parker 2027</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harris continued his strong week after another productive showing in Romeoville following his standout performance at Rich Township. The 5-foot-11, physically strong guard gets himself going with his jump shot, and once he sees a few shots fall, his confidence rises immediately. He attacks gaps effectively, scores with crafty scoop finishes, and does a good job of collapsing defenses before kicking the ball out to perimeter shooters. Harris has quietly put together an impressive three-day stretch dating back to UIC Team Camp.
