Prep Hoops Illinois took on a full day's worth of games from Ridgewood High School where many college coaches were in attendance at the event's second day watching as well. Programs and scouts from all over the country showed up to see what the talent will be over the coming years in Illinois. High level of play was on full display as prospects are finishing up their busy month of June with their school teams. Here we will breakdown some of the top swing men I saw today!

When I watched Benet play for the first time last year in June I had the chance to see the championship caliber team compete multiple times within 2 weekends. Stasys stood out immediately then because of his versatility and high IQ throughout the games I saw. Since then he's continued to build upon those foundations to be even more of a threat. His length and size creates mismatches because he moves so well at 6'8. He can guard multiple positions defensively. At the elite next level in college, it will be interesting to see whichever program gets him what they will slide him into. For now let's all enjoy 1 more year of getting to see the bright talent from Benet play in high school.

Second time seeing Tillman in as many weeks. Runs team as a point forward and has a lot of smooth feel to game. Creates mismatches offensively because of length and handing ability. As was the case in summer league during June, he continues to draw contact and make defenders foul when attacking to the cup. Team was missing some key guys today and he provided a lot of the heavy lifting. The lefty possesses a smooth release from midrange and beyond the arc off the bounce or catch. Also provided numerous sharing opportunities to teammates after making help defenders slide over. Will remain a tough out next 2 years.

Last time I saw Logue play was in April with his Fundamental team and I thought he was as competitive as could be then. Seeing him twice in two days helped establish that conclusion. Saw a lot of bright activity today as he connected on numerous passes for assists either hitting back door cutters, making quick swings, or spraying it from inside to out. He would most likely still fit the PF spot at the next level but his keen awareness to see the floor provided more to his game than I had originally seen. He guards the perimeter and runs the floor like a guard and when you add the vision into the mix that's why he's making a swing man's list. Defensively glued on his man and bought a lot of tenacity. Whole team plays with an edge and he fits that mold to a T.

First time I saw Peoples play was at our showcase event on a Saturday last Fall. First impression I remember was that he's a hybrid player because of his frame and the way he moves with agility. It's just not that common in basketball to have a bit broader sized body with hands and feet as quick as Markese's are. Today he showed why he'll continue to gain more great impressions from colleges going into his senior year. He bangs down low and competes against bigger posts. His strong and versatile movement allows him to consistently gain advantage whether he's in a guard or forward spot. It will be interesting to see where the program that he ends up going to places him in. Should be in store for a standout senior campaign.

First time seeing Meyers live in person today. Showed versatility through multiple phases of game. Athletically is fluid throughout to play multiple positions at the next level. Board wise I tallied him for 2 put back conversions in heavy traffic while he continued to crash in a consistent manner. Offensively he went coast to coast, had a cool spin move and kiss off the glass over defenders' reach, and went left 2 dribbles for a pullup jumper on 0 gap pressure. Defensively he provides a challenge on guards or forwards with his size and instinct. Overall the value he brings on both sides will impact and differentiate a game.

Scroggins can fill it up in a hurry. He had a couple early shots to get his team going in the first contest of the day Saturday and then he continued to go on a streak hitting 4 3's total at a high clip. He runs the wing spot to a T with height and length to compliment. You can't teach height at the 2 or 3 spot and he already has that equipped for the next level. He will create mismatches on the perimeter as well as inside with his handling abilities. Made a couple smart spray out reads off post feeds or off O boards. Tallied him for 3 clean blocks on the defensive side of things. Not afraid to get on the floor for loose balls and communicate to teammates. Like his continued projected upside.
