The third and final day of the NCAA Live Event took place at Ridgeview High School on Sunday. I had the privilege of being in attendance for the majority of the day to see some more talented teams take the floor who will have good upcoming 26-27 seasons. Tons of college programs were in attendance once again to see Illinois high school basketball. Here PHI will take you through some of the top playmakers from today's games I watched at their skill positions.

Lubbe had one of the best shooting performances I saw through this entire weekend. An above average game by a wing is usually one where guys will make 3 or 4 at an efficient rate which is always fun to watch. He took it to another level however. In team's morning matchup he hit 4 of 5 in the first half and then added 3 more in the second for 7 total. He knocked down shots in transition off catch and shoot opportunities, coming off screens hard, or spacing away accordingly on the arc. His length will be a challenge for opponents to keep contained. Possesses IQ while not forcing the equation. Positionally will fit into a 2 or 3 with size at the next level.

There were not many phases to Kings' game that weren't working for him in the early morning contest today. Defensively he gets after it on or off the ball to cause havoc. Tallied him for a handful of turnovers he created while having a nose to provide heavy pressure on the ball. Pushed for break points continuously off outlets or boarding from the guard spot. Possessed a high conversion rate at the rack and made good kick out or drop off reads after gaining extra man beneath. Showed bounce as well around the basket. Overall provides a lot of energy as a 2 way point guard and should continue to gain stock through upcoming season.

I had heard and saw some film on the shooting guard from Deerfield but hadn't seen him play live yet. Donahue gained a lot of attention from defenses today for good reason. He knows how to come off screens tightly and efficiently without leaving gaps. After catching he'll pause to see where the defender is and than make proper reads. His mid range game is really smooth off the bounce with a fundamental jumper. I also enjoyed his passing game hitting the dive man a couple of times after using a ball screen and dishing it off after getting a paint touch. He works hard on the defensive end as well to provide value. Will be one of the main players for a well coached Warriors squad.

It's hard not to like what Pittman brings to the table. The WY Dolphin continuously attacks with effort and energy off the bounce providing a consistent energy boost for his team. His quick first step burst allows him to get by defenders and then make reads from there. The way he made kickouts going baseline or from the wing was exceptionally well. The breakaway phase is where his speed with the ball shines and he will continue to make opportunities in that segment. Squad is young but deep in the back court and he fills a big role to that part of team.

Undersized rebounders are under appreciated in today's game. Kuzelis is a breath of fresh air because a player like him is for telling that the game is not all about size but about continuous will and competitiveness to battle and win. He gives the first impression that he is probably made more so for the grid iron but on the hard wood he will still make a big impact. His hands and feet are well coordinated to read rebounds off the rim. If he didn't have a double double it was really close vs one of the more talented teams in the state. Defensively he squeezed high in traffic multiple times and offensively he had multiple put back conversions. Skill wise he caught it at the elbow then went spin move to draw a whistle and then had another move from the short corner for a spin move baby hook finish. An intriguing prospect to keep tabs on.
