Midwest Crossroads Showcase: 2027 And 2028 Notable Wings

Over 50 teams came and showcased their skills in front of a variety of coaches from different levels during the live period. Efficiently fills the wing spot and produced offense from all three levels. A scholarship player that will fit into a 2 or 3 man dependent upon program need. Showed a clean rise on jumper from 17 and can splash home 3 balls at a solid percentage as well. Attacked gaps while drawing a whistle and provided second chance opportunities on the glass. Tallied him for 4 3's off the catch with one being from well off the perimeter line. Shows a smooth and confident stroke. Not phased under tight defensive pressure while still making sound shot selection. Slashed to gaps off the ball for open opps. Will utilize a quick first step burst at times to get past defender. Also stayed active to crash the glass on both sides. Has a quick release and shot ready mentality to let it fly. Caught team's mid-afternoon game on Sunday and tallied him for 3 3's off the catch within flow at a high clip.  Not afraid to go off the bounce into shot either. The other part that impressed me on Barone was his anticipation to guard the handler and commit to tight pressure. Took initiative to pressure opponents' main offensive threat and created difficult and tough shots throughout. Watched Saturday evening game and he continued to be a scoring threat from beyond the perimeter on the catch. Tallied him for multiple 3's within team's offensive system. Also bought more slice and dice and slashing ability to the floor from what I had seen before. Converted on a hard baseline finish on a tough angle and ran the break in attack mode.
