Two of the top three scorers from last year's team, including older brother Malachi, a 30-point scorer, graduated, which will open up a lot of shot opportunities for Kayden to take advantage of. He's a good athlete who defends at a high level and who can score from all three levels.

DeWinter was a key player on a Union team that got back to the state tournament last winter, averaging 6.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. The top five scorers from last year's team graduated, leaving ample opportunity for DeWinter to step into a starring role. He's a versatile playmaker and scorer who should have a chance to thrive.

Fryslie was a key contributor off the bench for a state tournament Grundy Center team last season, shooting 38% from the 3-point line and averaging 5.7 points per game. With the top two, and three of the top four scorers, graduating, shots will be available for the diminutive sharpshooter. He showed some ability as a secondary playmaker during his sophomore season, but it's his shooting that will set him apart.

Chase is a confident combo guard who can play with or without the ball in his hands, averaging 4.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per game as a sophomore. The Cardinals weren't hit too hard by graduation, losing just two of the top five (third and fifth), but that doesn't mean that Chase won't step into a bigger role. He's a good athlete who looks really comfortable with the ball in his hands.

Cummings is part of a strong 2028 class at Crestwood that includes standouts [player_tooltip player_id='2386373' first='Drake' last='Sir'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3590858' first='Cody' last='Sobolik'], so he can get overlooked. But his ability to space the floor, knocking down 43% of his 3-point attempts last season, shouldn't continue to go unnoticed. He's a really good shooter off the catch who is steadily improving as a playmaker and shot creator.
