Kueter didn't start a game for the Defenders last season but was potent off the bench, averaging 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He's an electric shooting threat, knocking down 37.2% of his 3-pointers as a sophomore, and he may be an even better shooter than that number indicates. He's oozing with confidence, shoots it equally well off the dribble and the catch, and will have an opportunity to step into an even larger role as a junior for one of the best teams in the class.

Fenton will be a big beneficiary from all the losses that Wapsie Valley suffered to graduation. In all, the Warriors lost their top two, and four of their top five scorers, leaving Fenton and senior-to-be [player_tooltip player_id='2530657' first='Landen' last='Moulds'] as the lone returnees who saw significant playing time last season. He's skilled with the ball in his hands, can create plays off the dribble for himself and his teammates, and is an active defender who uses his length effectively on that end. Look for him to potentially emerge as one of the better guards in the NICL this winter.

The Tigers are in need of someone to step up alongside star wing [player_tooltip player_id='1977076' first='Landon' last='Blum'], and Gruver may just be that guy this winter. After averaging 5.2 points per game as a sophomore, he could see that number triple this winter with all the additional opportunities that will come his way. He shot 41.6% from the 3-point line last season, and while his efficiency may not stay quite so high with the extra defensive attention, his shot volume will most certainly skyrocket.

Van Maanen came off the bench to provide some shooting for the Hawks as a sophomore, averaging 6.0 points on 38.3% shooting from distance, and following the graduations of four of the team's top six scorers, ample opportunity should be coming his way this season. He's a good catch-and-shoot weapon who can also create plays off the dribble, dishing out 2.1 assists per game and posting a 1.66 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Coates is limited offensively, averaging 2.1 points per game as a sophomore on 29% shooting, but he's a big presence in the paint both on the glass and as a rim protector. He swatted 1.3 shots per game as a sophomore, and his ability to protect the paint could be huge for a Cardinals team entering their second season under Austin Ash and looking to continue their ascent back up as a program.
