East Coast Live Standouts: Pt.1

The East Coast Live took place this weekend, at the Henrico Event Center and featured over 130 different teams. The event has been known to have some of the best talent and brings out some of the biggest-name coaches on the East Coast year after year. This year had numerous under-the-radar prospects for many college programs to take a closer look at.    Kam had a phenomenal weekend for Blue Ridge and was easily one of the biggest risers after the event. Kam is a 6'4 two-way wing who can guard multiple positions, shoot it well, and score well in transition. He was one of the best athletes at the event hands down, and has a very quick first step that can be hard to stop when he is looking to get downhill. He is a Division 1 prospect, and it's easy to see why he is highly sought after.     Eziah was one of the most talked-about prospects at the event all weekend long. A very quick and shifty guard who was unstoppable throughout the event. He has a great change of pace and feel for when to attack and get his own bucket or when to create for others. He had a monster posterizing dunk that was the highlight of the weekend, and he received an offer to Norfolk State, and I fully expect more to come his way playing at Blue Ridge and with [program_tooltip program_id='2226307' first='Team' last='Loaded VA']. Eziah is one of the more talented scoring guards in the state and has been making noise all summer long.     Jovin had a monster weekend for Collegiate, averaging 16 PPG and 12 RPG. He quickly showed why he's among the top 2028 players in the state and why he deserves more attention from scholarship programs. Jovin showed his versatility in being able to score off the dribble, in the post, and knocking down jump shots consistently. He is a very explosive athlete who has great 2 way upside. He did an excellent job guarding and limiting a Division 1 prospect from scoring much in their matchup. Jovin is an elite defender who uses his length and speed to deter shots at the rim, but what stood out most was his ability to blitz ball screens and create disruption. His name was mentioned a lot throughout the weekend by scholarship-level schools.     Trenton Smalling was phenomenal this weekend and had a monster performance with 25 points. He's a versatile guard/wing who can play multiple positions and rebound at a high rate. Trenton is a scholarship-level player who excels in transition and has received tons of interest from many different schools. He has been one of the top performers on the 3SSB Gold Circuit and Team Loaded's leading scorer throughout the summer.     Bodi was one of the event's leading scorers on the weekend and had a monster performance in each game, with a double-double in every game. He is a very athletic big who runs the floor well and rebounds at a high rate. College coaches were talking about him all weekend and will be highly sought after throughout his senior year. Bodi is one of the top bigs in VA and among the top available players in the state.
