With the spring season wrapping up, let's take a look back at some of the the under the radar players that impressed me with their AAU squads.

This spring was the first time I got to see Murphy live, and he's a good athlete who competes around the rim. He's got a solid frame, plays out of a strong base around the paint, and does a good job attacking and finishing at the rim. He moves well in transition, finding lanes, changing direction, and uses his body well to get through contact.

Lambert was one of the more potent 3-point threats I saw this winter, but I've gotten to see a lot more to his game over the spring. He's been super aggressive with the rock, can create shots off the bounce, and has a lot more wiggle and shake than I saw in the winter. He'll be a key guy at Kennedy next season and has shown a pretty diverse offensive profile this spring.

I got to see Brown at the Battle of the Borders in Auburn and came away pretty impressed with the Drive guard. He played with pace in the half court, was assertive and decisive with the rock, and showed up as one of the top 3-point shooters over the weekend. His shooting really balanced the floor for them and he came away with some clutch shots, but also showed the ability to split defenders on the perimeter and make good reads getting downhill.

Wilkes is a big, strong kid who works extremely hard. He generally takes good shots around the rim, doesn't force up a ton, and has the mass to bump some pretty big defenders back to get space inside. He gets up and down the court, won't lag behind plays, and is in on a ton of action around the hoop - contesting shots, fighting for boards, and covering space across the paint.

Roberts has been a big riser for me this spring, and at 6-foot-5, he provides a pretty well-rounded game. He can handle the ball and be an initiator, shoots it well enough to heat up from deep and shoot with extended range, and plays with excellent hustle across the board. He attacks the glass, is a max-effort defender, and has showcased one of the better motors I've seen this spring.

I got to see Li at the WIBCA Showcase and he showed off a nice balance of outside shooting and finishing at the rim. He can really shoot the rock, and seemed to play pretty under control, taking what the defense gave him and settling in space to knock down shots. He also showed off some good upper body strength to pair with soft touch while finishing shots at the rim up against bigger defenders.

Kaylor continues to impress me more and more this spring. He seems to have grown very confident in his abilities, and his physical strength and maturity are a big part of that. He is strong on the dribble, can hit shots from each level, has improved his decision-making, and just does a lot of things well. His awareness has continued to improve, but he's also become a very edgy competitor who is always thinking "next play."
