The most notable and one of the most recent offers in the state, 2029 center out of Sioux City East, [player_tooltip player_id='2839170' first='Liam' last='Noll'] received an offer from Washington State. Though the Cougars are no longer part of the gold guard PAC-12, Noll picking up the offer during the summer after his freshman year is a massively positive indication of where his recruitment can go over the next three years. Standing at 6-foot-7 as a freshman for the Black Raiders, Noll contributed 5.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game this winter while shooting 39.1% from three.

Moving toward some of the older players in the class, athletic wing out of Dowling Catholic, [player_tooltip player_id='2443978' first='Alfred' last='Kolee'] received his first offer this summer as well, as Division I Western Illinois extended him a scholarship offer. Kolee, who is a hybrid type, 6-foot-8 wing that can put the ball on the floor and play above the rim, averaged 10.2 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Maroons last fall. Kolee, with the remainder of the summer and his senior year to go, could continue to add more Division I offers.

Kolee's teammate out of Dowling, [player_tooltip player_id='2125403' first='Sam' last='Ralston'] also earned an offer this summer, picking one up from Simpson. He was joined by [player_tooltip player_id='2419755' first='Tillman' last='Papcun'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2420805' first='Dylan' last='Schon'] as Iowa preps in central and western Iowa to pick up offers from the Storm. Ralston served in a rotational backcourt role with the Maroons, Schon as a complementary, athletic wing on the state runner up squad, and Papcun emerged as one of the top scorers in 4A this season, scoring 20.1 points per game while shooting 42.1% from three.

In addition to the Simpson offer, Schon picked up an offer from Briar Cliff Univiersity, while Papcun visited Wartburg in March.

Speaking of complementary pieces on some of the best teams in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='2419854' first='Drew' last='Fischer'] of North Scott visited Wartburg at the beginning of May after receiving an offer from Central in Pella. The third-leading scorer for Dallas Center-Grimes, [player_tooltip player_id='2754666' first='Brody' last='Burke'] also earned an offer from the Dutch.

Lastly, two of the top returning seniors in central Iowa, [player_tooltip player_id='2419714' first='Evan' last='Abbott'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2204081' first='Charlie' last='King'] each received offers from Division II Washburn. Abbott, who was critical in the run to the 3A title for Ballard, and King, one of the top players in the state that has received interest from a variety of Division I programs, will each be expected to have big seasons this winter. Abbott led the Bombers in scoring last season, averaging 18.3 points per game, while King did the same for Des Moines Roosevelt, putting up 20.1 points per contest.
