Now that the weekend is in the rearview mirror it is time to start highlighting some of the top individual performers that we had the chance to evaluate. The Prep Hoops Havoc in the Heartland brought a lot of talent to Legacy Courts in Lafayette. Our scouting staff was there to see it all on Saturday and Sunday which means we have a lot to get to in terms of content over the course of this week. Here are some of the under-the-radar standouts from the annual Havoc in the Heartland event.

Coming off of an excellent junior season at Lapel High School, Garber had a strong showing for [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] 17u at the Havoc in the Heartland. His athleticism when attacking the basket really stood out in a couple of wins over the course of the weekend. He averaged 18 points in those contests. Garber is an under-the-radar prospect to watch heading into the summer.

Hughes is an athletic guard with a strong build from Crown Point High School. He was consistently productive for a very good Progeny UAA 15u team over the weekend at the Havoc in the Heartland. The 6'1" playmaker scored in double figures in every game while helping rebound from the perimeter and dishing out several assists across their four games. His well-rounded skill set makes him a versatile backcourt piece that you can plug-and-play with anyone around him.

[program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite'] features a very skilled, talented backcourt that has gotten a lot of attention this spring and rightfully so. However, down around the basket, Johnson does a lot of the dirty work for this team that went undefeated at the Havoc in the Heartland. The 6'5" post player made a couple of great moves against taller defenders in an impressive win over Progeny UAA on Sunday morning. Johnson visited and was offered by DePauw on Wednesday after the Tigers' head coach watched him throughout the weekend.

Loyd does a great job of distributing the ball for this Progeny UA Grind 17u team. He was the glue that held them together during an excellent 5-0 weekend at the Havoc in the Heartland which included a win over Progeny UAA. The Terre Haute North point guard is an excellent passer with a high basketball IQ that can also really shoot it from beyond the arc.

One of three excellent sophomore guards from Jimtown High School for [program_tooltip program_id='3587267' first='Indiana' last='Impact'] - Smith 16u, Woolwine shot the ball extremely well all weekend long. His shot-making ability pairs very well with his teammates who provide some playmaking, size, etc. He made five three-point shots in one of the games that we had a chance to watch on Saturday at the Havoc in the Heartland.

Progeny UAA 16u was arguably the best team in the gym at the Prep Hoops Havoc in the Heartland. They dominated their competition all weekend long and featured several individual standouts. Zowd was a connector for his teammates consistently setting them up for open shots and then letting some scoring opportunities come to him. He is a smooth, skilled guard that is really good with the ball in his hands.
