The atmosphere for Battle at the Lakes is truly special this weekend. The Hopkins High School facility is full of college coaches and great prospects for them to evaluate. Let's breakdown some of my early standouts from late action Friday and early Saturday. Battle at the Lakes is powered by Dr. Dish—the world's #1 selling shooting machine, helping players get 5X more reps and unlock their potential at home. Click Here to Train Like a Pro.

Cohen was lighting it up from the perimeter against a very talented Team Warwick squad on Friday night. Kendhammer is an absolute sniper from deep as he canned five triples in their first game of the weekend. I was impressed with Kendhammer's ability to quickly get triples off and the amount of confidence he shoots it with. The six-foot-two guard is a solid player in transition as well in addition to his shooting. As Cohen heads into his junior season, he should be one of the premier shooters in the La Crosse area and the talented MVC.

Kornowski's athlelticsm shined brightly as he was able to get downhill with ease in their Friday night contest. The guard out of Stevens' Point is quick, skilled, and uses his athleticism to get to the rim. Sam can pull-up from the mid range and has great court vision to find his teammates as well. I was impressed with his footwork and his ability to knock down perimeter shots, especially off flare screens in the Playmakers' offense. Kornowski has a bright future for a SPASH squad that brings back some talented pieces next season.

Felberg was arguably the best player in the gym on Friday night at Hopkins High School. Sully is the definition of all-around as he is able to impact the game in so many different ways. What stands out first is Felberg's ability to impact the game with his physicality. The prospect out of South Dakota is college ready with his strength and he is able to use this to his advantage on both end of the floor. Felberg disrupts shots at the rim, dunks on and over opponents, and can power through defenders with his pure strength and effort. To compliment his strength, Sully is very skilled and has a great bag of moves using shoulder fakes in the midpost and paint areas. To round out his game, Felberg can shoot it efficiently and pass the ball extremely well. Felberg is a must see prospect for college coaches.

One thing Reinke does every single year is improve a portion of his game. Since the last time I saw Brayden play, he has gotten stronger and quicker. Reinke was tearing down the rim in their game against Zero Star Basketball. Brayden had several rim rocking dunks on putbacks and in transition to put on a show for the Playmakers. Reinke is an elite defender due to his strength and quickness and locked up his matchup all game on Saturday. The prospect out of Mosinee, can do a bit of everything; pass, score at all three levels, and rebound the ball at a high level. A true two-way impact player. Reinke should gain several looks from the D2/D3 level the rest of this club season and headed into his senior season.

The sky is the limit for Robert, who attends Menomonie High School. The six-foot-eight front court player is an outstanding rim protector and showcased his ability to reek havoc on opposing offenses on Saturday. Trevor swatted several attempts at the rim and made Zero Star question every shot they put up around the hoop. On the offensive end, you can find Robert leading the break, finishing through and around contact, relentlessly rebounding the ball and finding his teammates out of double teams across the court. Robert is extremely athletic and quick for his size and has the potential to contribute to a program at the next level.

Another extremely athletic wing for the Playmakers, Dickerson has a high motor and is a fun player to watch. Ransom has no-off switch and is very active on the glass, defensive end, and hustling in transition. In the half court, Dickerson is able to get to the line and side step defenders to finish aggressively at the rim. The prospect from DC Everest had an impressive dunk in transition and has a lot of potential as he continues to develop his perimeter skills. Another talented player out of DC Everest, Dickerson figures to have a fantastic senior season.

Nolan competes with Zero Star Basketball out of Michigan. Despite the loss, Terry was impressive with his ability to fill the scoring sheet at all three levels. Nolan is a very confident perimeter shooter and canned three threes from way downtown to keep his team in the game. The prospect out of Houghton has a quick first step and is shifty when he gets opportunities in the half court. On the defensive end Nolan heats up his assignment and has great anticipatory skills to get deflections and steals.
