The latest South Carolina 2029 rankings update brought significant expansion to the class with 25 new prospects entering the board, which naturally created movement throughout the rankings. While some players saw their spots shift downward, many remain firmly in the mix as intriguing long-term prospects who continue to show value and upside on the court. In this article, we take a closer look at several prospects who may have slipped in the rankings, but still have plenty to prove moving forward.

First up on the list is Kai Lowery. Lowery didn't have the best of starts to EYBL play, only putting up 3.0 points per game and 0.3 assists per game through 8 games. However, he was an important piece for them in years past and is the Point Guard of the future at Northwestern. I'm expecting him to bounce back in June with standout performances throughout the scholastic period.

Cash slid down 12 spots from 37 to 49 in the May Rankings Update. He played with Twelve Time Elite this spring, impressing at several regional events. Long is a gifted young scorer who will get hot and go for big games. However, his reasoning for dropping is simply that I haven't seen him in person before, and that should change in June.

Running with Long on Twelve Time's regional team is Willingham. He is a scoring-minded guard who can efficiently knock down jumpers off the catch or effectively put pressure on the defense off the bounce. Despite dropping down a couple of spots, Nevaeh still projects as a player to know over the next few years.

Like a few others in this list, Madyx only falls because of the volume of players added to the rankings. Ulmer has impressed at a couple of events in the spring, and he is high up on my list of guys to watch in person in June and July. Madyx has a unique feel for scoring the ball himself or setting up a teammate for a shot.

Briggs Rogers rounds out the group. Rogers can play either position in the backcourt with his ability to catch and shoot or make plays off the dribble. He was a frequent top performer on the Phenom Hoops Circuit this spring with Team Global Select, so expect that to translate to scholastic play with May River in June.
