About Briggs

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A true point guard who runs the floor, finds the open teamates, very talkative while in the court. I can shoot the ball really well from deep and can finish at the hoop at any time. Great defender can pick up at 92ft, always communicating with the defense. Can play any role the coach ask.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to always want to win even if my team plays against the number 1 team in the country I’m always gonna give it 110%. The Win stands for “what important now”. Give it your all.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play for team global select.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have really developed leadership on and off the court. Being a leader in a classroom is one the big things for me. Always there to help out a teammate when he needs it.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college for a coach that believes in me.

Briggs Rogers rounds out the group. Rogers can play either position in the backcourt with his ability to catch and shoot or make plays off the dribble. He was a frequent top performer on the Phenom Hoops Circuit this spring with Team Global Select, so expect that to translate to scholastic play with May River in June.

Another guard who improved with sub-varsity play in 2025-26 is Rogers. Briggs has a skilled game with a shifty handle and crafty finishing. He will play his grassroots ball with the North Carolina-based Team Global Select, but there will still be plenty of opportunity for him to grow as a player and get deserved exposure over the offseason.
