Below there are a handful of notes that I took live and in-person throughout the weekend about some prospects at the 16U level, who competed at Edina High School near Minneapolis.

#1 - Kenyon Geslin - ABP Athletics 16U

"Geslin has been electric in his first game of the day. A shorter guard that is almost impossible to contain in one spot with his combination of speed and his ability to handle. Been lightning in a bottle so far on both ends of the floor while staying aggressive on offense. This is someone that can make things happen in a hurry. If you blink on defense, he might put up 7 points on you in the blink of an eye."

#33 - Jacob Samuel - Minnesota Select 16U Buchanan

"#33 has been pivotal in helping his team come back from down 10+ at one point. J Samuel, a powerful Forward listed at 6'7, is getting all of his action at the rim through contact after a crafty assist from one of his teammates off their creation. This has happened play and play again, leading to several buckets in a row. I'd imagine Samuel is also good with his back to the basket in space. His soft touch on the ball with either hand has been noteworthy so far throughout."

#5 - Ryder Soper - Shoot360 Fargo 16U

"A guard that can get to the rim in a hurry off the bounce. He has great instincts with his situational awareness, always willing to make the extra play for those around him. Offensively, someone that explodes towards the center of the floor once he beats his initial defender with the ability to slam it down with authority once he gets there. Seems to make great choices with the ball when it's in his possession, no matter the situation unfolding around him. Overall, someone anyone would love to coach at this age level with what he brings to the game and his team."

#25 - Zach Firm - Wear Out The Nets 16U Tuma

"Firm has been the best overall player for his team in the second half so far since I've been watching. It's a tied game at 36 with 9 minutes to go. Most of the offensive action lately for WOTN's is coming off of Firm's ability in the middle of the free throw line as they run Chin Action. He is receiving the ball to start their motion and making an assist or bucket in one way or another from there on out. This has been vital as things boil down to the last 3 minutes of this one."

#21 - Elijah Jackson - ABP Athletics 16U

"EJ has been the teams catalyst offensively ever since he got his first bucket to fall early on. This is shifty guard with a great feel for the game. The type of player who is really good at creating his own rhythm on both sides of the ball while keeping everyone around him on their toes. He has been makeing quick choices and asking questions later, which has worked out up to this point."

#24 Eli Mack - Shoot360 Fargo 16U

"Mack is just a guard that makes things happen on both offense and defense. He is a smooth lefty, that is used to having to score at a high rate from all three offensive levels. He has hit some three's today early on but he has also worked out of the mid-post at times so it's really just what you want at that time from him. He comes off as someone who makes things look effortless coming down the floor and you can't say that for most individuals at this level."

#15 - Caleb Gillo - Wear Out The Nets 16U Tuma

"A SG with great feel for the ball off the catch offensively. When he lets a shot go, it always looks picture perfect with a massive arc behind it while usually keeping the net completely still as it goes in. He has to have 5 or 6 three pointers with 4 minutes left in the ball game and he has been AUTOMATIC all night long. Sometimes you see a player that just has "it" within a certain aspect of this game and Gillo has it on the offensive side of the floor."
