I attended the annual Prep Hoops AZ Bash in the Desert at the Phhacility in Phx May 1-3.

I viewed nearly every team in the 17U division but also saw some 15 and 16U teams. And here were some of the top post players and power forwards.

15-16U Standout PF/C's

[player_tooltip player_id='3625813' first='Bracey' last='Markley'] Civica Charter (Vegas Elite 15 EYBL)

A legit sized post player with a ton of natural upside. He plays about 17-feet and in with mid-range jumpers, offensive rebound put backs with his huge wingspan and size, hook shots and he has a soft touch around the basket. He will control the glass and block shots. He made clutch free throws in a one possession game in one of his games I viewed.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506518' first='Azariah' last='Reetz'] Phhoenix Prep (Vegas Elite 15 EYBL)

A long power forward with real twitch and easy springs. He is a true rim runner and will run the floor like a deer and score with lob dunks, offensive rebound put backs, rip thrus and gets trips to the free throw line. He will cover smaller guards in space and then quickly switch to post players.

[player_tooltip player_id='3243670' first='Jake' last='Bunyan'] Somerset Losee (Vegas Elite 15 EYBL)

A long post player with great size and real girth and strength. He holds his ground in the paint and will also runs the floor. He will corral the ball off the glass and block shots. He will score with left hand or right hand hook shots and put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2749319' first='Luke' last='Zarob'] St. Mary's (AZ Legacy 16 3SGB)

A rising junior was a junior varsity stud who can play inside and out. He has a thicker frame to bang inside and control the ball with his strong two-hands. He will score inside with a nice touch plus then step outside and hit the three. He will collect steals and brings energy to the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2865908' first='Alex' last='Lies'] Pinnacle ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] 16 Rise)

A face-up forward forward works well from the high post. He will rebound, dive on the floor and block shots. The southpaw has a pure shooting stroke to the three point line, dunks it, hit jab step triples and can score thru contact.

Kevin Huguley PF 6'6 2028 Cajon/CA (Rancho Elite 16)

A long power forward with a nice frame is a plus rebounder in and out of his area and is very active with a plus wingspan and some size. He has a little vertical pop and he is an effective scorer inside. He is one to monitor from California.

[player_tooltip player_id='2865919' first='Sandro' last='Santiago'] Bella Vista Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] 16 Rise)

A power forward with nice size is a long strider with long arms to finish inside the paint versus bigger players. He has a nice handle to gain some separation to score it and a plus rebounder in his area and will defend multiple positions.
