There continues to be recruiting movement around the area, and this week has been no different, with a number of players picking up offers while others make commitments to the next level. I'll examine these recent developments and discuss what they mean moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='3584219' first='Gassim' last='Toure'] | 6'3" Guard | Principia

Toure's strong spring continues, as his play in Dallas was enough to earn him a Power Four offer from Missouri. With the way he's trending, the summer should bring more Power Four interest, and his name is likely to continue climbing quickly up the national recruiting rankings.

Corbin Johnson | 6'4" Guard | Sunrise Christian

Corbin has committed to Missouri Western after fielding a strong number of Division II offers over the past few weeks. Johnson should bring shooting and a high basketball IQ to the program, and he has a chance to push for valuable minutes early on with what he adds to the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2205713' first='Harrison' last='Trelc'] | 6'1" Guard | Emporia

Trelc is another area name who has benefited from a strong start to the spring, providing both scoring and playmaking on a consistent basis. Harrison has added an offer from Bethany, and it looks like more could be coming in the near future.

Ontarius Emmot | 6'4" Wing | Shawnee Heights

Emmot has flown somewhat under the radar until recently, despite coming off a strong high school career out of Topeka. Ontarius has committed to Saint Mary in Leavenworth to continue his playing career and should help extend the school's run of strong wing players over the past few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='2866725' first='Brendan' last='Walsh'] | 6'2" Guard | Blue Valley

Walsh was able to break through this weekend in Tulsa, earning an offer from Washburn, one of the top Division II programs in the country. His growth as a ball handler this spring has added a new dimension to his game, showing his ability to get downhill and finish in the mid-range or at the rim.

Keimani Paul | 6'5" Wing | Topeka West

Paul is another Topeka name who wrapped up an impressive high school career this spring. With a versatile game and a frame that should continue to fill out at the next level, Keimani is an intriguing prospect moving forward. He's committed to Cowley CC and looks to join a strong program with recent success.

Elijah Poniewaz | 6'0" Guard | Chaminade

Poniewaz has emerged as one of the hotter Midwest names this spring, and his recruitment is starting to reflect that. With recent offers from Northern Iowa and Drake, the 2028 guard looks to be on a strong upward trajectory. His play this spring — particularly on the offensive end — has been impactful, showing a next-level build and skill set already in place.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334930' first='Brandon' last='Rooks'] | 6'1" Guard | Battle

Rooks had a strong showing in Tulsa, which led to his first Division I offer from SIUE. There's no denying Brandon's ability to put the ball in the basket — he's a bona fide scorer who can pile up buckets in a hurry. Be on the lookout, as he should have more programs sending offers his way in the near future.

Aydin Rollins | 5'9" Guard | Blue Springs South

Rollins is another Kansas City-area player committed to Saint Mary. Known as a quick and unselfish floor general, Aydin now looks to take his game to the next level and continue the winning success he's had on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334909' first='Will' last='Powers'] | 6'5" Guard | Westminster Christian

Powers is at it again, picking up another Division I offer from Miami (Ohio) after a strong showing in Memphis at EYBL Session II. His continued strong play would suggest that even more offers will be coming his way soon. The talented guard can really shoot it, and he's added another dimension to his game with his ability to get to the rim.
