June is a little over a week and a half away, meaning the summer season is around the corner. The 2028 class is primed to have a good summer, especially in the back court. Here are the 2028 Bergen County guard prospects who could have a big summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194744' first='AJ' last='Greig'], 6'5 SG Ramapo

Greig is one of the top 2028 prospects in Bergen County and should put in on full display this summer. The 6'5 guard has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim and can make shots through contact. Greig uses his size to see over his defender and has a high release on his jumper. He is a solid rebounder and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Greig is a lanky wing prospect who should score inside and out over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2305481' first='Jaylen' last='Lewis'], 6'0 CG/PG Don Bosco Prep

Lewis stepped up during his second varsity season and is primed to become the Ironmen's top scorer in 2026-27. The 6'0 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Lewis moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He pushes the pace well in transition and slides his feet on the defensive end. Lewis has the ability to put up points in bunches, which will help his game in a big way over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2504891' first='Sean' last='Forbes'], 5'10 PG Bergen Catholic

Forbes took a big step up this season and should take a bigger step up this summer. The 5'10 guard plays with composure in the half court as he rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and threads passes to his open teammates in the half court. Forbes has a nice touch in the mid-range and can also play off the ball. He works hard on the defensive end and can knock down open jumpers in the half court. Forbes is a gritty guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763609' first='Jake' last='Ellis'], 5'10 PG/CG St. Mary's Rutherford

Ellis helped spark the Gaels' offense as he helped them to the Bergen County Jamboree final. The 5'10 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to blow by his defender and can finish in a variety of ways around the rim. Ellis can also score in the mid-range and sets his feet before he shoots. He finds his open teammates in the half court and gets deflections on the defensive end. Ellis' ability to run the offense efficiently is something that will help his stock over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2504507' first='Jayden' last='Robinson'], 5'10 CG Teaneck

Robinson has the potential to breakout this summer as he should have the ball in his hands more. The 5'10 guard has a good shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Robinson is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the basket off the bounce and finishes well around the rim. He is an underrated passer and is able to play off the ball as well. Robinson's ability to play on and off the ball is something that will help his game over the next couple of months.

Other Prospects to Track:

[player_tooltip player_id='2786649' first='Avery' last='Cano'], 6'0 CG Lyndhurst

[player_tooltip player_id='2504893' first='Branden' last='Martucci'], 6'0 SG Don Bosco Prep

[player_tooltip player_id='2783963' first='Shane' last='Jacobs'], 6'0 CG/PG Bergen Catholic
