#4) [player_tooltip player_id='2548185' first='Kelvin' last='Anderson'] | 6'3” CG | Petersburg

Anderson had a big sophomore season for Petersburg starting every game for them en route to a state championship, and getting himself mentioned in a couple of national rankings as well. The 6'3” combo guard isn't built like most sophomores as he has a grown man body and knows how to use it when he gets downhill to finish through traffic, he is a tough shotmaker who has great body control to hit fall-aways and tough pull-ups, he brings a lot of toughness on the defensive end, and he can make plays for others as well.

#22) [player_tooltip player_id='2918931' first='Jarrell' last='Hurt'] | 6'7” C | Henrico

Hurt continues to show improvement for a Henrico team that was very good this year, and he's looking like he could be a breakout player as far as his recruitment goes this summer. The 6'7” big man is a load in the paint with good strength but soft touch around the rim, he's getting more explosive as he continues to grow into his body, he's showing improvement in his range and ability to stretch the floor, and he is a big time paint presence on the glass and defensively as well.

#29) [player_tooltip player_id='3554524' first='Javarius' last='Thurston'] | 5'9” PG | Hermitage

Thurston was one of a number of Hermitage players who were breakout players in the Richmond area this year, emerging as one of the top guards in the area and one to watch moving forward. Despite being 5'9” he controls the game with his ability to guard 94 feet and touch the paint at will, he makes great decisions with the ball in his hands to find open teammates, and he has a knack for scoring the ball in a lot of different ways with the ability to takeover games as well.

#34) [player_tooltip player_id='3554525' first='Danny' last='Mooney'] | 5'11” PG | Collegiate

The son of Richmond Head Coach Chris Mooney, Danny is starting to make a name for himself with his steady play and ability to fill it up in bunches when he gets it going. He's a coach's son so he has what you'd expect as far as fundamentals and high IQ as a lead guard, he can drill it from deep and does a good job attacking closeouts and gettin to the pull-up, he gets downhill and finishes well through contact, and he makes winning plays on both ends of the floor as well.

#35) [player_tooltip player_id='2194718' first='Justin' last='Golden'] | 5'11” PG | Henrico

Golden was another breakout player for Henrico this season on a very impressive backcourt they put together, and next year he'll be the go-to guy as far as handling the rock and making plays for others. The 5'11” guard is shifty off the bounce with a tight handle and counters to all of his initial moves, he can score it off the bounce and off the catch from all three levels, and he can set the table and make plays for others as well.

#37) [player_tooltip player_id='2960264' first='RJ' last='Mickleberry'] | 6'3” SG | Glen Allen

Photo: Instagram @rjmickleberryjr

Mickleberry had another impressive season for Glen Allen who were one of the better teams in the Richmond area, and he's one of the better shooters in the area regardless of class. The 6'3” off guard has in the gym range with a quick release when his feet are set, he moves well off the ball and reads screens well to make the right decision, he's a good secondary ball handler who can make plays for others, and as he continues to get stronger he'll be able to impact the game on both ends much better.

#41) [player_tooltip player_id='3554533' first='Jemell' last='Smith'] | 5'9” PG | Cristo Rey

Smith is part of an up and coming program at Cristo Rey that he's laying the foundation for, and he had a huge sophomore season for the relatively new school in the area. He's a dual threat guard who can make plays for himself and others off the bounce, he's excellent in ball screens with the ability to make tough passes and turn the corner to get to the rim, he's aggressive looking to break down defenses and make plays in every scenario, and he's a very good on ball defender as well.

#42) [player_tooltip player_id='3554534' first='Roman' last='Dennis'] | 6'1” SG | Varina

Dennis emerged as an important piece for Varina on their run to the state semifinal, becoming a very productive guard on both ends of the floor for them. He's a quick and aggressive slasher who can get in the paint at will and is good at both finishing in the paint and kicking out to shooters as well, he can work off the ball and knock down shots from deep, and defensively he brings a lot of toughness and is very good both on the ball and in help as well.
