SD Players To Watch

With the Club Season of basketball a couple weeks in i thought i would take a look at a few players and some reasons to keep and 👁 on them over the course of this spring and summer. There will be alot of opportunities to watch not only these players but also a ton of others play this spring and summer to showcase there skills against some of the best teams/players and coaches.    Huge part of the West Central Championship High School Team, connor is an elite basketball player who can score every way possible. He also has the ability to create for teammates when teams try and take him away. Hes just as good offensively in the half court as he is in transition. Three level scorer with a smooth jumper, hes also got a real nack of getting by his defender and attacking the basket with strong finishes at the rim.     Thyab is a long very active player who plays above the rim often and also changes the game with his shot blocking ability. Athletic player who uses that to his advantage in pressing situations as he gets a ton of deflections wich leads to easy baskets for teammates or dunks for himself. Pressure defense and transition offense are two areas that hes great in.     Only a few players in the whole state may have finished off the high school season hotter then Karson. Karson went on a scoring barrage in the state tournament hitting huge shot after huge shot and also putting up big numbers vs some of the states best players. He does it all very well and at times makes it look easy. Not just offensively very good hes also proven to be a realy good defender. Very good athlete as he can play above the rim at times also.     Has a great all round game, tough guard because he can do so many things very well. Great handles, does a great job of setting up his moves and keeping his defenders off balance. Shoots the three ball very well, finds open spots on the court to get his looks. Active on the boards.     Big guard with small guard ball skills and quickness, matchup nightmare for teams as he can post up smaller guards and take bigger guards off the bounce from the perimeter. High IQ overall but in transition your really notice how he makes great decisions with the ball knowing when to drive and score or drive and kick to open shooters. Has the ability to score from anywhere on the floor.     Elite guard with great change of pace moves. Has incredible ballhandling skills and handles pressure very well. Love how he can finish at the rim with both hands and against bigger guys. Probably faster with the ball in his hands then without. Nocks down steph curry range three's.     Absolute beast in the post/powerful and will not get pushed off his spot once he has it. Rebounding machine on both ends of the floor, has nice touch around the basket and decent footwork in the post. Gets to the foul line often because he gets so many offensive boards draws fouls. Strong post defender/moves feet well. Gets up amd down the floor well for how big he is.     Long 6'5 athletic player with good handles. Has a smooth shooting stroke from anywhere on the floor. Uses his length on defense to his advantage/has good anticipation on off ball passes. Plays with confidence on the offensive end of the floor. Like his court vision, at 6'5 hes able to look over most of his defenders to find open cutters and teammates. Very fluid player in transition, has a nice feel for the game.     Elite in every way possible, when hes on the court he does everything and does it very well/makes the game look easy. Plays above the rim on a regular basis but can also nock down deep threes at a consistent clip to. First quick step rivals the best smaller guards in the state with the ability to finish at the rim in style and with either hand. True three level scorer, mismatch vs anyone who guards him.     Long athletic ultra skilled guard who can fill the stat sheet with scoring/rebounding/steals or assists. Makes alot of tough shots, aggressive offensively can score from anywhere. Will also guard you tough and hit the boards as well.     Only got to watch Brady play couple times but liked what I saw of him. Lefty has a nice stroke with range. Has a good crossover bounce shaking a couple of defenders on his way to the basket for scores. Does a nice job of using his left hand to his advantage and driving to the basket for finishes or drive n kick to open teammates. Showed a nice pull up jumper and a soft touch around the basket. Plays bigger then 6'2, showed some toughness on defense and rebounding the basketball.     Just a sophmore but one of the states best all-round players already. Literally does it all. At 6'9 he handles the ball better then majority of guards(has a great low crossover for a guy of his size/great passer/great range as a shooter with a nice soft touch inside on the block. Rebounds the ball and starts the fast breaks either going coast to coast or dropping dimes to open teammates. Shot blocker/changer on the defensive end of the floor. Hes almost impossible to matchup with defensively. Moves fluidly up n down the floor and has the strength to play tough post defense.
