PH Windy City War: 2027 Under The Radar Watch List Guards

The Windy City War took place this weekend. I was in Romeoville catching teams from the 17U, 16U, and 15U divisions. Here we will take you through a half dozen 2027 under the radar guards that should see stock continue to rise through this spring and summer.    Caught Price in middle morning game on Saturday. Plays teams' main lead guard and had no problem getting buckets at an efficient rate. A 3 level scorer. Hit 5 3's in rhythm with a couple being well off the perimeter line. Can go into shot off the bounce on a smooth 2 count jump shot. His rise and stamina gives him the ability to shoot over more length. Provided a quick first step to get in lane and covert through traffic as well. Thread the needle a couple of times to tally the assist department in pnr setting or in transition. Impactful on both sides that coaches should put on their combo guard radars.     Another combo guard for the Cannons 16U that popped on the radar. Caught in early morning 8AM game on Sunday and got it going from 3 early. Slots into a prototypical 2 man. Can knock down off of 1 pass in transition while filing the sideline. Defensively got into the passing lanes to cause turnovers and lead to buckets the other way. Converted on a floater and another soft touch lay in through traffic. Was in double digits within 10 minutes of game.     Caught team play in late morning game on Sunday and Taxis went off for 20+ in the win. Has a tight handle with court vision as at true floor facilitator. Regardless of size the Reaper can put the ball in the hoop and play at the next level. Converted on breakaway layups, conversions through traffic in the ½ court setting, and dialed in for multiple spot up 3's. A 3 level scorer that will make the extra pass on the perimeter or deliver it downlow to the post. Selfless well rounded overall guard that should be on watch lists over the next year.     Davis is an efficient spacer that lit it up in a quick manner during the late afternoon Saturday game. Regardless of size if you can shoot it you can shoot it and he fits that role to a T. He went 3 for 3 in a quick manner beyond the arc in the first half and had another dagger in the 2nd to help swing momentum quickly. Continued to be impactful on the defensive end and running the floor at a quick rate as an off guard. An agile scrappy combo with a tight handle and will fill it up with range.     Would fit into a point combo guard spot post high school. Contributes both ends with scoring and defensive activity. In first game of weekend I tallied him for 3 3's all off catch and shoots in an efficient manner. Also shows ability to get into the lane and make correct reads. Finished through traffic once and then had a couple smooth dimes once drawing help. Applies full court pressure at times guarding the ball and contests shooters with length. Upside value is here.     Got it going with a hot hand in the 9AM game on Saturday. Knocked down 5 3's in rhythm at a high clip. Converted on a couple baseline finishes attacking the rim as well. Defensively presented court awareness in the ¾'s court trap situations. Will impact as a spacer from beyond the arc to open the floor up and knock down shots.
