season that firmly established them as one of the elite teams in Class A. Coached by Greg Kjellsen, the Tigers finished with a 19–6 record and made another trip to the State Tournament, continuing a run of success that's become the standard in Groton.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">This senior class leaves behind a legacy that's hard to match. Three straight State Tournament appearances and a Conference Championship speak for themselves, and there's a strong case that this group is the most successful to come through the program. They set the tone with their consistency, competitiveness, and ability to win at a high level year after year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">With a new head coach in place this season, there was an adjustment period—especially on the offensive end—but the Tigers handled it as well as you could ask. By the end of the year, they were playing efficient, high-level basketball, shooting over 50% from the field as a team, which is almost unheard of at the high school level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontStyle":"normal","fontWeight":"100"}},"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size" style="font-style:normal;font-weight:100">While losing six seniors is significant, this isn't a program that's going anywhere.
