Prestyn was arguably the best player on the court in Ambition 16U's first matchup of the weekend. He scored at will on multiple levels en route to a team-high 17 PTS. He's known for his efficiency going downhill, but his catch-and-shoot 3PT attempt was in rhythm and stood out amongst other qualities. Beyond his growing confidence as an outside threat, P did plenty of what he's used to. His movement patterns can be deceptively unorthodox, which makes them that much more effective. He got to the rim and finished through contact with ease and displayed some crafty skills in doing so. Whether it was deploying a euro step in the fast break; using pump fakes to get his defender in the air; or creating second chance opportunities from offensive rebounds; P just seemed a step ahead of everyone on the court.

Montez's 17U Griffin squad completed their first weekend of Spring hoops at Spooky Nook and left undefeated. Although they found much success on the weekend, they were battle tested in doing so. Griffin found themselves down by double digits early versus another UA Rise team, but they proved to be up to the challenge. Several players stood out down the stretch, but Montez knocked down the most valuable shots of the game when it mattered most in overtime. His pull up 3pt field goal off the dribble rattled in to start the post-regulation play, signifying the real work he's put into becoming a legit threat from long distance. A few moments later his drive through the lane sealed the ball game.

Toe-to-toe, Jordan might've been the best isolation scorer in the building for his class. He scored a game-high 30 PTS against a talented 3SSB squad to lead The Family 15U to victory in their final contest of the weekend. Good things followed suit when the ball was in his hands thanks to advanced decision-making going downhill. Jordan led stretches of what seemed like layup after layup regardless of if he had to extend his reach to complete the bucket or finish through contact. He also proved that he could finish with both hands at a very high level. Beyond scoring, Jordan notably secured a 50-50 ball that surely seemed as if it would go out of bounds, showcasing great body control and court awareness.

Wildcat Select 16U found themselves down by double digits in their final matchup of the weekend at Spooky Nook this past Sunday. LeShawn's leadership and outright drive to win helped pull his squad within one possession with under a minute left to play in the contest. His ability to rebound as a smaller guard stood out throughout the game. He used an advanced level of court awareness and understanding of angles to hunt missed field goal attempts and finds ways to score. LeShawn was fearless going downhill and quick enough to blow past everyone on the court. He also showcased his ability to knock down shots from long distance. A winner all around, despite the loss.

The Ohio Bruins have had a lot of success over the years, and they haven't disappointed thus far in their inaugural season as a member of the MHC. Carson's 16U squad took down a really good 3SSB team in their final matchup on the weekend and Carson was arguably the most valuable offensive weapon on the court. He was consistent from beyond the arc, connecting on a handful of 3PT attempts with confidence and rhythm. Carson also wasn't scared to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim as needed, finishing well over defenders. He racked up a game-high 24 points in the contest.
