AAU Team Preview: Minnesota Gold 17U

<p>Minnesota Gold 17U will play in three Prep Hoops events this AAU season, one in April, May and July. In April they will be in Wisconsin for Madness in the Midwest April 17-19th, in Minnesota for Battle at the Lakes May 8-10th, and July 2nd-3rd for The Tune-Up.</p>   <p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/Minnesota_gold">Find Minnesota Gold Here</a></p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2352576' first='Moussa' last='Dukuly'] - Dukuly is a 2028 Champlin Park six-foot-two-inch guard playing 17U for Minnesota Gold. The Rebels sophomore averaged 16 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals per game. Dukuly showed off his athleticism early in the season on one of the nastiest dunks of the Minnesota high school basketball season. The NWSC conference honored Dukuly as all conference 1st team performer and conference defensive player of the year. Dukuly showed off an improved 3-point shot making 35% of his 3-pointers and hit 48/4% of overall shots.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/mdukuly3/status/2039449427799081326 </div></figure>   <p>DeAnthony Sells - Sells is a six-foot-six-inch forward/wing from St. Cloud Apollo that had one of the biggest years of all 2027 under the radar prospects in Minnesota. Sells was named CLC All-Conference and Prep Hoops 3A Section 8 POY while averaging 20 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 blocks per game. Sells' size and length made him a match-up problem nearly every night in the Central Lakes Conference leading Apollo to a 19-7 record. Voca has good range on his shot and ability to hit 3-pointers and also find space in the mid-range. Voca is a physical driver with the ball from the perimeter and when getting downhill Voca has solid finishing ability. In the minutes Rolle did carve out at times he excelled as spot-up 3-point shooter. Rolle's jump shot is smooth, and nearly perfect in form mechanics. Rolle has good quickness with the ball and as a defender that quickness is used to poke balls away and square up opponents.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3510466' first='Laviance' last='Gales'] - Gales is a six-foot-six-inch forward from Minneapolis South that averaged 11 points and 8 rebounds per game. Gales is a good rebounder and shows ability as a weakside defender. Leduc can shoot the ball from the perimeter as a spot-up shooter and shows ability to block shots with his leaping ability and size. Vollmuth is an active offensive player re-positioning and giving his teammates opportunities to hit him with passes as he excels as an off the ball shooter. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/gusvollmuth3/status/2025218404232098259 </div></figure>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2441551' first='William' last='McQuay'] - McQuay is a six-foot-one-inch guard from White Bear Lake. McQuay averaged about 10 points per game for the Bears. McQuay fits the combo guard role, can handle a bit and score, either as a driver or perimeter shooter.</p>    <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2846654' first='Judah' last='Shepp'] - Shepp is a six-foot-five-inch Concordia Academy forward that scored 8.7 points per game while shooting 50% overall and Shepp grabbed 5.9 rebounds per game. Shepp showed an ability to defend the rim with 1.9 blocks per game, 41 in 21 games.</p>   <p>Izaak Depoint - Depoint is a six-foot-six-inch forward from Holy Angels that has a long frame that moves his feet well. Depoint has shown ability to finish at the rim on either side of the basket with either hand. Depoint works inside for rebounds, and shows good energy on the offensive glass. At Holy Angels this season Depoint averaged 11.7 points per game.</p>
