<p>This was one of the best and most entertaining set of state finals games that we've seen in recent memory. We're going to look at a key stat in these games - rebounds. In the 3 of the 4 championship matchups, the team that led in total rebounds won the title. We're going to look at the top individual rebounders in the state finals.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2935086' first='Connor' last='Stevens']</strong> (Concord) -Stevens was the top rebounder in the state finals with 19. This wasn't a 1 time thing, as he also grabbed 14 I believe in the round of 4. Stevens controlled the glass and set the tone for the game.</p>

<p><strong>Trent Piggott</strong> (Pewamo-Westphalia) - Piggott was second in all 4 of the state title games, grabbing 12 boards. He has controlled the paint for years now for PW.</p>

<p><strong>Tristian Comer</strong> (Freeland) - Comer grabbed a huge 10 boards to help lead his team to a state title. 9 of those were on the defensive side, effectively ending possessions. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1588174' first='Grady' last='Eklund']</strong> (Pewamo-Westphalia) - Eklund ended up with 9 rebounds in the championship game. This was the most by a perimeter player. Eklund grabbed 4 on the offensive end.</p>

<p><strong>Devonte Grandison</strong> (ATAP) - Grandison finished with 7 rebounds. The bouncy and athletic forward had 4 offensive rebounds.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1806407' first='Wilson' last='Huckeby']</strong> (Freeland) - Huckeby grabbed 6 rebounds in the state title game. He was the second leading rebounder among perimeter players and he was a shot limiter grabbing all of his rebounds on the defensive end of the floor.</p>
