Scott Hankamp | Prep Hoops Scout
Farmer will put a scare in some players and coaches this high school season. He’s well rounded and unselfish and makes his team and teammates better. Being able to score from so many spots and be a game influencer in so many ways is a scary to a team trying to match up.

Farmer has turned some heads since last years Freshman Showcase and we’d love to see him go to work at the Sophomore ID Camp. He deserves this stage to show his game off. Farmer is a tough kid that will attack, especially in the paint, on defense. He’s very comfortable scoring and rebounding in traffic.

I had not seen Farmer play since the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase back in August. I distinctly remember his willingness to move the basketball on offense to pair with a solid jumper. This weekend, I got to see a different side of his game. On Saturday, he put on an impressive inside-the-arc performance. There was a few minute stretch where he had numerous in-traffic rebounds and completed multiple contact finishes at the rim.

A teammate of Kellen on the Storms’ 14u team, as well as 3v3 Sunday, Farmer also stood out throughout the day. Already over 6′ tall, Logan uses his length to get clean looks over defenders. An above average shooter, he also showed the ability to attack the basket as well. Might favorite skill of his, however, is how consistently he passes the ball up the floor. Too many HS players want to dribble across half themselves, not Farmer. This skill not only gets him easy assists, but also allows his team to get into offense quicker. It will be interesting to see how Farmer’s role plays out for a loaded Pewamo-Westphalia squad who should be one of the best teams in the Lansing area, regardless of division.
