We have a loaded slate on Wednesday with some great matchups in sectional semifinals all across the state. We already previewed five of my favorite matchups. But given the magnitude and importance of these games, I've decided to add additional previews. Here's some more games to watch.

(2) Deerfield vs (3) Wauconda - 3A Deerfield Sectional

This could be a very intriguing matchup. On one end, Deerfield had an up-and-down season in a deep Central Suburban League. But they do have one of the best forwards in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='1552404' first='Jake' last='Pollack']. Wauconda, on the other hand, won a weaker Northern lake County Conference with a 13-1 record. Junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2127973' first='Austin' last='Carlsen'] is a name to watch who can stuff the stat sheet for the Bulldogs. I trust Deerfield a little bit more. Especially at home.

(2) York vs (3) Glenbard North - 4A Bartlett Sectional

I anticipate this being a close match. Especially since York won by just four points against Glenbard North this season. It's been up-and-down for Glenbard North this season, while York has put together one of their best seasons in recent memory. When it's their day, I do believe Glenbard North could Pull this off. But the better team is York and I expect them to

(1) Sycamore vs (3) Crystal Lake South - 3A Woodstock North Sectional

I love the potential on Crystal lake South's roster. 1000-point scorer [player_tooltip player_id='2750020' first='Carson' last='Trivellini'] is a dynamic junior small schools should keep an eye on. Twins [player_tooltip player_id='2369867' first='Ryan' last='Morgan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2369943' first='John' last='Morgan'] are anchors in the post. While [player_tooltip player_id='2915369' first='Noah' last='Cook'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2802061' first='Nick' last='Stowasser'] are two top-100 juniors what will make an impact. On the other side, Sycamore is in the midst of an incredible season which includes nearly defeating Kaneland a few weeks ago. Look out for Josiah Mitchell, Isaish Feuerbach, and [player_tooltip player_id='2847907' first='Marcus' last='Johnson'].

(1) East St. Louis vs (2) Jacksonville - 3A Waterloo Sectional

The Flyers are the favorites in this game led by Penn State commit [player_tooltip player_id='1873523' first='Jamison' last='White']. White has been incredible for the Flyers this season with his length and athleticism displayed on a regular basis. The flyers have just one in-state loss this season. Led by 2026 sharpshooter, [player_tooltip player_id='2323273' first='Masen' last='Johnson'], Jacksonville will have their work cut out for them.

(2) King vs (3) De La Salle - 3A De La Salle Sectional

Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2323307' first='Lucas' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1552397' first='Remi' last='Edwards'] headline a De La Salle roster that played a national schedule this season. While King's record stands out, it's the Meteors schedule strength that should not be overlooked. I'm picking De La Salle to take the win while hosting their own sectional.
