It was all-business for the CPS champs Tuesday night.

In a matchup between a senior-led CPS power vs a less-experienced CCL squad, it was the former that came on top.

The game started incredibly slow. Only five points scored in the first five minutes of the game. But it didn't take long for each team to start hitting shots.

For Curie, it was [player_tooltip player_id='2734369' first='Justin' last='Oliver'], Saquon Cummings, and [player_tooltip player_id='2823632' first='Kendall' last='Holliday'] who made noise early on. Oliver displayed an incredible amount of explosiveness in the open floor, and even slammed home a dunk to end the first quarter. Then Holliday slammed one home in the third to keep the Condors up comfortably.

The physicality shown from Curie gave them a significant bump in this contest. Winning tons of second chance opportunities and boxing out at a super efficient rate as the game progressed. I was particularly impressed with the work from [player_tooltip player_id='2734439' first='Keith' last='Collins']. Collins is a lengthy 6'8" F who snagged boards and boxed out very effectively. He created at least three second-chance opportunities for his team in the second quarter alone.

Despite the loss, St. Laurence looks very promising in the future. 2028 G [player_tooltip player_id='2385372' first='Noah' last='Corro'] displayed tons of confidence throughout this matchup. He'll be complemented by fellow sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='2532014' first='Logan' last='Brown'], [player_tooltip player_id='2532002' first='Jeremiah' last='Toney'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2853758' first='Oliver' last='Odeh'] for the next couple of seasons. Look out for Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2125677' first='Reggie' last='Stevens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2323617' first='Markese' last='Peoples'], too.
