Game Recap:

The story of Saturday was one of repeat champions. Like Ragin Prep in Saturday morning's 1A State Championship, Cathedral Academy was looking to win consecutive rings. However, for the Generals, a win would mean three-straight SCISA State-Championship victories. Charleston Collegiate was the better team in the opening stages, thanks to some excellent play out of the gates from [player_tooltip player_id='2561918' first='Grant' last='Morrison']. Cathedral Academy flipped the game on it's head midway through the second quarter, using a 13-0 run to take control of the affair. [player_tooltip player_id='2854669' first='Malachi' last='Scott']'s ability to force turnovers and capitalize with points on the other end was the difference, but [player_tooltip player_id='2175523' first='Amare' last='Jeter'] and Kobe Grant also stepped up during that stretch. [player_tooltip player_id='3530257' first='Joel' last='Lockard'] came out of the locker room with some efficient shooting, hitting a clutch corner three almost every time the Sun Devils attempted to get something going. Back-to-back threes from Morrison and [player_tooltip player_id='2561026' first='Thomas' last='Reed'] got the lead down to as little as 13 in the second half, but Scott came back with more impressive finishing, and Cathedral Academy coasted to their third-straight State Championship.
