NorCal 2028 Prospects Contributing In a Big Way

NorCal's top 2028 prospects are still playing, and are major contributors. In only their second season of varsity basketball, they're accustomed to playing at a high level against quality competition. They carry themselves like seasoned basketball players at this level, not getting caught up in the moment, not trying to do to much, trusting and relying on their skill set.    Like most Sophomores Mhoon is still learning the game, though he brings a good understanding, and a versatile skill set to the court. He's a multi positional prospect for now. Guard skills to handle, vision for quality ball movement, size to rebound. He's an alert defender, active, talks, moves his feet, usually in good help position. He can create off the dribble, square up for perimeter shots, and score in the paint using his length. 13.4, 6r on the season      Listed as a point guard, but can do things off ball as well at this level. He does a solid job of setting and making the offense go, keeps his dribble live, quick passing. He can create his shot using body, and balance to get into the paint, hit the mid-range jumper off the dribble. He has movement without the ball using screens, and other ways to get open for shots. He's shot ready to knock down 3's. He can defend up high with lateral movement. A reliable 14pts, 4r, 3a.     Through injury Kirsch Lopez landed in the starting five. He took advantage of the opportunity will probably be a starter for the rest of his high school playing days. He's been a reliable contributor, whether he's working in the paint using footwork, body and touch to get points, or located on the perimeter and high post where shows vision, ball movement, and an ability to hit the open 3 or the free throw jumper. He's a rebounder.     Standing 6'4, Walker has used his ability to put points on the board from different areas on the court. He's a guard with handles to create for himself and others. He doesn't handle as much, criss crossing the middle for paint points in traffic, but can and will attack from the perimeter when the opportunity presents itself. He can get into a rhythm, paint jumpers, 3-pointers. He'll rebound and go.     A long body at 6'5 and getting stronger. He has good activity on the defensive side of the ball, defending hard on the perimeter, switching, and moving his feet laterally. He's got the length and strength to mix it up side defending and going for rebounds. He takes it up strong in traffic for points. He's comfortable attacking the basket from the baseline, or putting up corner 3's. He works from the high post, passing, screening and cutting.     He's a quick guard, serves as a quality backup point guard on one of the top teams in NorCal. Quality handles, vision, sees the whole court. He's a ball mover, moves it quickly before the trap can cause problems. He has that burst to attack off the dribble. He shows patience up top, keeps his dribble live. He's an excellent on ball defender, can stick to ball handlers, quick hands, feet, lateral movement to apply ball pressure full court.
