NHIAA State Championship Standouts: DI + DII

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season in New Hampshire wrapped up this weekend with the playing of the Division I and Division II state championship at the University of New Hampshire.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Division I, Pinkerton wrapped up their dream season with a 63-50 victory over Trinity. Brady Sullivan was our MVP in this one, finishing with 25 points and a handful of timely buckets.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Division II, Hollis-Brookline closed out an undefeated season with a 42-37 win over Pelham. The lefty displayed strength as a driver and finisher around the rim, didn't try to do too much with the ball in his hands, and was always ahead of the pack in transition. What impressed most was how he let the game come to him and how efficient he was as a scorer. A long and athletic guard, the sophomore was quiet in the first half before really turning it on after intermission. He elevates nicely into his jumper and has a high release point, allowing him to get it off over most defenders. The athletic wing did a nice job of making his presence felt on the defensive glass, making plays out of rotations in the half-court, and operating as a grab-and-go rebounder that could initiate offense in transition. The long and athletic forward plays with a terrific motor on both ends of the floor, allowing him to assert himself physically on the glass. He has strong hands, is quick to get off the floor, and reads the ball well off the rim. With his athleticism, he does a nice job of quickly breaking into transition as a pusher off of his rebounds. An unknown name to us before the game, the sophomore was the quickest player on the floor and did a great job of attacking the rim as both a driver and cutter. He has a lightning quick first step, did a nice job of changing speeds and directions off the bounce, and was quick into his finishes at the rim. The playmaking wing did a little bit of everything on the offensive end of the floor, showcasing the versatility of his game as both a scorer and creator. He made shots in catch and shoot situations, created for others with the ball in his hands in transition, and did a nice job of finishing at the rim with length. He's a plus rebounder on the defensive end of the floor and showed the ability to guard both on the perimeter and in the paint with his combination of strength and mobility.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
