Torres, a 6’4″ wing out of Trinity, played with terrific two-way effort and energy and was, at times, the best player on the floor in this game. The athletic wing did a nice job of making his presence felt on the defensive glass, making plays out of rotations in the half-court, and operating as a grab-and-go rebounder that could initiate offense in transition. He really started to assert himself in the 4th quarter when Trinity applied pressure, making plays in passing lanes and turning defense into scoring opportunities at the rim, where he finished through contact with length and strength.

+51 (#128 to #77)
Torres, a wing out of Trinity High School in New Hampshire, rose 51 spots in this update and now sits at #77 overall. Torres is one of the better athletes in the NHIAA and has really come on as a scorer this winter, averaging almost 12 points per game on the season. What really stands out though is his ability to be a swiss-army-knife type of player on both ends of the floor. He can operate as a low post scorer or primary ball-hanlder offensively and a weakside rim protector or top of the press disruptor defensively, all within a few minutes of game action.

Torres, a junior wing out of Trinity High School, is coming off of a season in which he averaged 14.4 points per game and helped lead his team to a 14-4 record. Arguably the most versatile defender in the state, he’s a long and athletic 6’4″ wing that can defend any position on the floor. He’s a two-way rebounder, flies up and down the floor in transition, and continues to improve his consistency as a perimeter shooter.

Trinity asked Torres to do a lot of the dirty work in the paint and the sophomore was more than up for the task. A good athlete with a nice frame and good length, he isn’t a traditional big man, but was super active in the paint and utilized his athleticism to rebound in traffic and protect the rim. Offensively, he showed some versatility with his ability to make plays off the bounce from the top of the key while also scoring at the rim with either hand. He’s a prospect to watch this spring and summer and should only continue to expand his offensive game with more repetitions.
