Williams, a senior out of Hollis-Brookline, was named the NHBCO D-II Player of the Year after averaging 16.3 points per game this winter, which was 12th in D-II. What stands out most about Williams’ game is not his scoring, but actually his ability to impact a game without putting the ball in the basket. He finished the state championship with 15 rebounds, single-handedly controlling the glass for his Hollis-Brookline team. He’s a plus athlete with long arms that can defend up and down a lineup and has improved tremendously with the ball in his hands. He showed the ability to stretch a defense with his shooting and even did a nice job of making plays in transition as a creator.

Williams, a 6’5″ forward for Hollis-Brookline, almost single-handedly controlled the glass for his squad and helped them to hang on late with some timely baskets. The long and athletic forward plays with a terrific motor on both ends of the floor, allowing him to assert himself physically on the glass. He has strong hands, is quick to get off the floor, and reads the ball well off the rim. With his athleticism, he does a nice job of quickly breaking into transition as a pusher off of his rebounds. While he does a lot of scoring around the rim, what stood out most was the develpment of his perimeter game, particularly the fact that he knocked down two three pointers in this one.
