Entering the game midway through the first quarter, the twitchy guard-wing immediately brought a spark to the team. Coleman got going on the glass and on defense with his first of many steals, turning this one into an assist. He cranked up his activity even more in the second quarter. First, Coleman put his man in a straight jacket and stole the ball for two points; next, he shot the gap for another steal, then he deflected what would've been an alley oop in transition. His 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals were essential to the Sal getting the win on the road.

Sosa popped a three in the opening quarter of the game, but the Sals were still a bit sluggish on offense early on. That changed as soon as the second half began when their freshman guard scored the first 10 points of the third. Sosa got a fastbreak lay, made a couple free throws off of a drive to the basket, and cashed two more threes to put some distance between Sallies and the Bluejays. Combined with his defensive impact, he led Sallies with 17 points and 2 steals.

Despite not scoring in the first half, Wright managed to make a key contribution to his team winning on the road. He consistently tilted the defense for his guys. And in the midst of his shots not falling, he played tight defense at the point of attack. But Wright found his rhythm in the fourth from the field and the charity stripe, keeping the Bluejays from making a comeback.

Matthews was the lone bright spot for the Bluejays. He threw a wrench in Sallies' offense with his mobility and awareness on defense while his team got off to a slow start of their own. His ability to grab-and-go allowed him to compromise the defense before it could get set. On one of those occasions, he sank a pull-up three, and on another he went coast-to-coast to the rim for two. His double-digits in the points column was complimented by his double-digits boards, as well as his 5 stocks (2s 3b).
