Friday, February 26th I watched the EYBL Scholastic League of #1 AZ Compass Prep hosting #20 Dream City Christian.

Dream City started fast but AZ Compass took the lead in the second half, and despite a mini comeback, AZ Compass held on for the 61-53 win.

Here were the game standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1150823' first='Kalek' last='House'] AZ Compass Prep (Pictured)

One of the top players of senior night was Kalek. He scored 15 points with multiple threes made off the catch or pull. He will take it hard to the basket with either hand and scores often thru contact. He makes his money with his defense containing and slowing down his opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='1660037' first='Willie' last='Piggot Jr.'] AZ Compass Prep

A physical guard or wing is heading to Cleveland State next season. The newcomer for me is a hyper athletic player who had a poster dunk in the game. He defends multiple positions and rebounds in and out of his area. He finished with only 4 points but filled up the stat sheet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150824' first='Kaden' last='House'] AZ Compass Prep

The athletic scoring guard who can play on or off the ball finished with 12 points. He scored it with threes off the catch, highlight dunks on the break and tough takes with and-1's in traffic to score or get trips to the free throw line. His toughness and competitiveness shines every game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140875' first='Demarcus' last='Henry'] AZ Compass Prep

The long wing forward has length and skill for days. He is a very long strider to get to the basket with tough takes inside the paint around the size. He has a polished fall away and plays and defends nearly every position on the court with his versatility. He finished with 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1845363' first='Rajan' last='Roberts'] AZ Compass Prep

The Valparaiso commit was tough all night getting downhill to the basket scoring thru the contact. He will hit the three off the catch with confidence, but he does not take many. He sets the table to make plays and defends his position. He scored 14 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595670' first='Ikenna' last='Alozie'] Dream City Christian

An explosive combo guard is a top of the food chain athlete. He brings a big motor to the game and rebounds the ball better then most for his position. He will score with transition takes, euros, mid-range jumpers and deep threes. He makes plays and finished with 24 points and 10+ rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2758274' first='Mateen' last='Cleaves Jr'] Dream City Christian

A strong framed combo guard will facilitate, defend his position and score. He is a physical rebounder for position and will score with put backs, hit perimeter shots and make players around him better with court vision. He finished with 5 points with multiple assists and rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2197693' first='Chris' last='Brown'] Dream City Christian

The West Valley post is a true rim runner and rim protector. He will dunk way above the crowd and makes good reads to teammates as a rare point type of center. He is another that makes his money altering or blocking shots making it very hard to score on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2173760' first='Keaundre' last='Morris'] Dream City Christian

A combo guard can make plays but he is there to score it. He is a better athlete then you realize to play above the rim on the break and will rattle in triples with one of the quickest releases beyond the stripe. He can also step back and hit the three. He scored 11 points.
