The 6’4 off guard has impressed as a spot up shooter all season while moving fluid mechanics for shooting off the dribble. He’s a next level athlete that pinches dunks on the break and has a few oysters under his belt. He’s shuttering touch as a finisher especially against tans with size. Piggot has a competitive streak that fuels his motor and on-ball defense. He has a really promising athletic package that could grow as he takes on more offensive responsibility.

2023 stats: 16.1 ppg – 3.5 rebounds – 2.2 assists Piggot Jr. was effective as a freshman while showing off his good athleticism and explosiveness which translated well to the offseason AAU periods. He’s handled an even bigger role this season playing with SLAM Tampa this fall where Piggot has provided good scoring production and solid defensive output. He’s a fearless finisher at the rim with posterizer ability and quick twitch to finish over larger defenders.

Piggott has speed and good court awareness when he has the basketball in his hands as his IQ has improved. He can also score across all three levels whether it’s off the catch or off the bounce. His potential continues to rise as he started picking up his first few offers during last summer’s Live Period.

The 6-5 sophomore guard has no surprises in his skillset, as he can score across all three levels. He was very active right from the opening tip on Saturday against Miami Norland. Piggott finished with 18 points, two rebounds, two steals and two blocks in the win. Piggott has emerged as an elite on-the-ball defender for his class as well where he was very active and can cover a ton of ground with his speed. Piggott continues to show he has endless potential as he still has two more years of high school basketball left after this season.

Willie Piggott Jr, A 6-5 sophomore guard who can impact the game on both ends of the floor whether it’s his ability to finish around the rim on the offensive end or his strong efforts on the glass at the defensive end. Piggott has good size, length and athleticism where he can guard multiple positions out on the perimeter or on the interior. Look for Piggott to play with a lot more confidence this season as the sophomore guard continues to have high potential. He also currently holds offers from Radford, Samford and several others.
