We had another terrific winter in New England, with high level basketball being played in all six of the region's states. There were champions crowned, incredible storylines to follow, and even a McDonald's All-American out of this class.

With all that being said, we're ready to officially close the book on the Class of 2026, meaning these will be our final rankings for this class and our attention will soon turn to the spring travel season.

Here are a few notes on our final rankings update for the 26's:

Arkansas-bound guard [player_tooltip player_id='2341304' first='Abdou' last='Toure'] closes out his high school career in the same spot he's held for the last year - #1 in New England! A product of Notre Dame-West Haven, Toure came up just short in his bid for another state championship, but continued to impress with his ability to score the basketball in a variety of ways while also defending at a high level on the other end of the floor.

The Newman School's [player_tooltip player_id='2638999' first='Lucas' last='Morillo'] jumps up to #2 in this update after a phenomenal late-season run that saw him lead his team to a NEPSAC AAA title and a National Prep Championship. The big guard will play next season at Illinois and wrapped up his career doing what he does best - taking games over as a high IQ, on-ball creator and scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1532640' first='Quinn' last='Costello'] checks in at #3 and finished his season as a champion and a McDonald's All-American (New England's first since Elmarko Jackson in 2023). The Newman School forward will head to Michigan in the fall, but ended his high school career with an exclamation mark this winter, standing out as a multi-level scorer that rebounds it at a high level on both ends of the floor.

Up next, at #4, is Lawrence Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='2341363' first='Alex' last='Egbuonu']. The 6'6" forward continued to operate at a high level on the offensive end of the floor this winter while taking on every opponent's best defender. The Marquette-bound prospect can really score the basketball, is a high level athlete, and plays with terrific versatility on the defensive end of the floor.

Rounding out the Top 5 is [player_tooltip player_id='2563037' first='Darien' last='Moore']. The Brewster Academy guard cemented himself as one of the region's top perimeter defenders while showing the ability to make plays on or off the ball on the offensive end of the floor and was a key piece in what was arguably the region's top back-court. He'll head to Seton Hall in the fall and should make an immediate impact with his toughness and winning mentality.

In all, 280 prospects have been ranked in this update, with an additional 203 appearing on the Watch List.

All six New England state are represented in these rankings, with prospects coming from the NEPSAC, the Power 5, the Nike EYBL Scholastic League, and each of the six state associations.

Positionally, these rankings feature 41 Point Guards, 48 Combo Guards, 39 Shooting Guards, 63 Small Forwards, 68 Power Forwards, and 21 Centers.
