We updated our rankings for the senior class for the final time today, with our scouts doing a great job of covering games in person or grinding film to add in 52 new prospects into the class to recognize the hard work of our local prospects. Here we'll break down some available combo guard scorers that impressed us enough to receive a nice final bump to their rankings status on the site. Let's dive in!

-Pretty easily our highest riser of the year, Strong led his team to deep runs in the DC State Playoff tournaments as a heady scorer. Love how smoothly Strong comes off of ball screens in the halfcourt, showing precise timing to wait until the screen has arrived and taking good angles to free himself up for a very steady midrange jumper that often found the bottom of the net. Loved his decision-making in transition as Strong shows good control of measuring his pace, pushing the tempo to take advantage of or create advantage opportunities for his team in transition or slow the pace to wait for ball screens or for his shooters to break open. A prospect that hasn't reclassified and boasts consistently high marks in the classroom, he's a no-brainer prospect for D2 and prep school opportunities.

-Long left the public school ranks and enjoyed a productive 2-year stint in Lanham as a scoring combo guard that can really fill it up with bunches. Whether he started his drive from the short corner, the wing, or the top of the key-- Long smoothly gets into pull-up jumpers off of dribble pick-ups both in transition and in the halfcourt to score before the defense can contest his shot. His finishing bag around the basket has really improved with a flurry of euro step pivots and different finesse finishes. And he did a much better job of using the rim to protect layup attempts from being blocked by his defender as his career wore on. Will be intriguing to see how his college choices pan out as LM and D2 coaches have joined the ranks of the junior college coaches that are interested in his services.

-One of the better jump shooters in PG County, our scouts enjoyed watching Morton this season as a scoring combo guard that could hit shots from all 3 levels. Liked his pace coming off of ball screens as he could hit pull-up elbow jumpers going either direction from both sides of the floor. He was efficient off the catch, found opportunities to reward bigs for running the floor with shovel passes in transition, and kept firing whether the jumpers were falling on that particular day or not.

-Clevenger finished his career strong in the blue and white with Loyola as they put a scare into the 1 seed in the first round of the BCL Playoffs. Clevenger was comfortable taking perimeter jumpers, showed improvements attacking opponents off the bounce, and wasn't afraid to mix it up in the paint for rebounds or to double bigs to prevent second chance opportunities. Admirable fight down the stretch from a scrappy combo guard that should find success at the next level.

-The cat-quick scoring guard thrived in transition as a scoring guard that doesn't need a ball screen to get to his spots. His ability to change gears and rev up his pace in tight gaps in the defense made him a difficult 1 on 1 matchup throughout the season for a scrappy Northwest team. Malhotra's penchant for scoring in bunches helped swing the momentum in several games throughout the season.
