One of the top prospects in Ohio's 2027 class, Mack-Russell has been dominant for a currently unbeaten Winton Woods squad. Mack-Russell is so strong and powerful as an athlete, he is incredible to watch in the open court and uses his physicality to overpower weaker defenders at the rim. Hoping to see Mack-Russell continue to gain confidence as a perimeter attacker, he still likes to lower his shoulder into defenders too often. As a shooter, Mack-Russell has shown clear growth this season, knocking down a time and space 3-pointer from the corner and hitting a 18-foot pull-up jumper in this game. Efficient from the floor, Mack-Russell was 7/10 from the field and 3/4 from the foul line to score his 18 points in the win.

One of the top defenders in Ohio, Dawson is a high major football commit who could also play college basketball at the scholarship level due to his frame, quick-twitch athleticism and defensive ability. Dawson can get downhill off the dribble and thrives in the open court. His defense also allows the Warriors to get going in transition, Dawson tied a game-high with two steals. If Winton Woods is going to make a run to the final four this year, they'll need Dawson to keep playing at such a high level.

Walker was crucial on the glass for Winton Woods in this game, securing three offensive rebounds that directly led to easy looks for himself or his teammates. One of the more explosive athletes in Cincinnati, Walker had a monster slam dunk as a roll man to open the game. The rebounding and energy Walker brings thanks to his athleticism is so important for a Winton Woods team that wants to overwhelm you with their size and strength on both ends of the court. Big time performance for Walker in the win.

Bowman had his work cut out for him all game as the primary ball handler and creator for Lakota East. Being tasked with creating offense for the team almost every possession, Bowman was being chased around by two or three defenders at a time. A very skilled lead guard, Bowman did a nice job of turning the corner and helping get the defense into rotation. Able to make passes with either hand, Bowman had a sweet lefty assist to a shooter early in this game. Bowman also has the most 3-point makes on the team as he scored off a pin down action on the wing for an open 3-point look. One of the top guards in the 2028 class, Bowman did what he could for a shorthanded Lakota East squad that will hope to have a few younger players take leaps this off-season to get back into conference title contention. Their win over Cincinnati St Xavier shows they are in contention against some of the top teams in the area.

An under the radar senior having a nice season in the GMC, Shaw had a blocked shot early in the game where he rotated as a help-side defender. Shaw has the frame and willingness to be an impact defender for his team. Knocking down two 3-pointers, Shaw is an impressive shooter with his feet set. Maybe my favorite play of the game came when Shaw drove baseline and had a sweet reverse layup. Small college target to know from
