Friday the 13th I watched two of the EYBL Scholastic teams play from Arizona. Dream City Christian hosted the event and Bella Vista Prep was one of their games they played against. It was a great way to see so many talented players from the state on the court at one time. (Utah Prep, Link Academy and Sunrise Christian were also a part of the weekend's games.)

Here were some of the standouts

Bella Vista Prep held on to win 73-64 after a nice comeback.

[player_tooltip player_id='1464982' first='Miles' last='Sadler'] Bella Vista Prep (Pictured)

The star of the weekend was clearly Sadler. He scored 25+ points and did it in style. His speed dribble drives with either hand is tough to defend. He goes from slow to fast better then most in the country. He has that quick burst and then handles the contact well. He really has made his meteoric strides with his shooting. He will pull-up and hit the three in bunches from the parking lot. He made 6 triples in this game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580233' first='Paul' last='Osaruyi'] Bella Vista Prep

A high flying power forward with a massive 7'3 wingspan. He runs the floor better then most and he is a top of the food chain shot blocker. He will score with put backs and holds his ground well on defense. His most impressive thing is defending guards and then defending the post. He finished with 5 blocks while altering many others.

[player_tooltip player_id='2241513' first='Lyris' last='Robinson'] Bella Vista Prep

A two-way stud shooting guard can score it with threes off the catch, as he seems to keep improving it, tough transition finishes and he gets to the free throw line with his aggressive drives and glass work. He slows down his opponents and scored 13+ points.

[player_tooltip player_id='3240966' first='Amadou' last='Seini'] Bella Vista Prep

A massive human being is pushing above seven feet at around 240 pounds. He is very hard to defend and his skill level keeps improving. He scores with more polished hook shots and elite drop step moves that are nearly impossible to defend. He rebounds the ball at a high level in his area and will block or alter shots. He finished with 10+ points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612509' first='Jalen' last='White'] Bella Vista Prep

A big time athletic wing forward with elite size. He flies on the break with ease and he scored it easily from the perimeter. He makes tough fall aways from mid to the three point line. He comes with deeper range now and the high level athlete rebounds well in is area. He finished with around 10 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2133808' first='Malachi' last='Jordan'] Dream City Christian

The star for DCC in this game was clearly Jordan. He scored 25+ points every way possible. He had the deep three clicking (made 3), step thrus and a slew of NBA All-Star like dunks. He finished off alley-oops, tip dunks and had one nasty poster dunk hanging in the air for a minute.

[player_tooltip player_id='2173760' first='Keaundre' last='Morris'] Dream City Christian

The team's top shooter at 40+% from the three point line rattled in threes off the catch or pull (made 3). He also showed off a polished middle game with tough fall aways from mid-range off the dribble. He is sneaky athletic and can get a step on his defender and earn trips to the FT line. He scored 20+ points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595670' first='Ikenna' last='Alozie'] Dream City Christian

An athletic senior combo guard is their lone senior starter with their younger EYBL Scholastic team. He is a good advanced passer up the court and will consistently drive and kick it to a shooter. He gives high energy on defense and will score with high level mid-range pull-ups, deep threes off the catch and jet-quick bursts with his next level speed and bounce. He scored around 10 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2197693' first='Chris' last='Brown'] Dream City Christian

The teams post player is one of the top shot blockers in the EYBL Scholastic. He times the ball perfectly off the glass or in the air without fouling using his huge plus wingspan at maybe 7-feet. He gobbles up rebounds and he is a phenomenal passer as well making him a valuable teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2758274' first='Mateen' last='Cleaves Jr'] Dream City Christian

The teams youngest starter is the son of the Michigan State legend. He has great pace to his game and he is a plus rebounder for a guard. He loves to attack getting downhill and puts a lot of pressure on the defense. He earns a lot of trips to the free throw line with his physical frame and strength. He had maybe 6-8 trips to the free throw line.
